When we come to play Southend on the 23rd it will have been 2 months of the season with only 2 wins, including the busy Christmas period. In that time we've thrown away leads against Walsall, Oldham and Doncaster, are potentially 12 points behind the leaders now and are level on points with a resurgent Wigan. If we were to gain automatic promotion with that kind of form then the league has to be incredibly weak this year.

In my opinion we can't be looking at autos anymore, we need to go on a solid winning run just to stay in the playoffs as we are only a few points ahead of Sheffield and Peterborough who have games in hand.

I don't know what's gone wrong but it feels as though we're letting the opportunity slip through our fingers. We have the best team in the league on its day but that day is currently far too irregular and i feel it's looking less and less likely we're going to have a promotion to look forward to in May. Really hope I can be proved wrong.

Nothing has changed we just have to try and get as many points as we can. I would rather have a bad run now rather than in April. Other teams will have bad results too.

Still 4th after our heaviest defeat of the season 2-0 YES 2-0 and that against the current top team. We're not playing that well at the moment but once we do we can only go one way and that's up.

Seriously think we will kick on sooner rather than later. Extremely confident of playoffs. Still think we can push for 2nd though

We need to string some wins together, a win at Southend next week would be start in restoring some belief lost in the last couple of months.

Unbeaten means nothing tbh if we want to get automatically promoted. We have lost less games than Walsall this year but they are ahead of us because they have won 2 more games than us. We've also lost the same amount as Burton but they realistically could be 12 points ahead of us when they play the 2 games in hand. The teams who win the most get promoted, not the teams who don't lose often.

The only way to guarantee that Walsall and Burton lose a game is for us to beat them and we failed on both counts. We have shot ourselves in the foot by persisting with a sub-standard goal-keeper and defence. We got away with it before because we were scoring goals for fun, but our rivals have now figured out how to nullify our attack, which to be honest wasn't that difficult.

Need the defence sorting.

Get Lorentzson fit. Get a CB in on loan. Sign Hood for another pacy option beside Murphy and maybe a striker in and we look a lot better.

Got to agree the we look increasingly like we're not going to make autos.
