2 Strikers Currently On Trial? (1 Viewer)

With the Coventry Telegraph reporting that Pressley has two strikers currently on trial and very little information given regarding who they are.

Does anyone on here know anything as to who they are? Chances are probably not if they are the same bracket as Orlando Smeekes! Personally I'd like to see us go for an experienced frontman to complement the likes of Josh McQuid who Pressley is waiting on a decision on and the young strikers currently at the club.

I'm not certain he would be in our wage bracket but he would suit the Leon Clarke mould of player a Pressley is looking for, free agent Marcus Tudgay would do a job for us at this level if he is willing to take the drop into League 1.

All that said we shall probably see who they are at Nuneaton and will probably;

A) Have never heard of them.
B) Watch them play for the first and last time.

What do you guys think?

Would be disappointed if we're looking at players without a club when we've got money burning a hole in our pocket and it's such an important signing. But to be honest it all depends on who they are. After all Clinton Morrison arrived after a trial didn't he?

So did Marlon King.

After the initial glut of signings, it's no surprise that the final 4-5 places is the squad are going to be scrutinised via trial - I predicted this a little while ago.

Just watched some training goals on Sky Blues Player and you can hear SP shouting "Kyle get in the box" so I'm presuming that's one of the strikers on trial. Was thinking Kyle Lafferty because of the Rangers link but it turns out he signed for Norwich.

Strikers on trial?

First thing that came to mind was that SISU had started litigation against two strikers as they refused to join our club.

There is a moment also when the left back puts over a diagonal ball and Pressley appears to say his name begginung with 'S' but it sounds like it is blanked out. Wonder if the makers of the footage are told to remove anything that clearly identifies a trialist.

Was hoping the strikers would come like Swanson and Obrien
Two proven players that you snap up straight away.
Always worries me if someone has to come and be watched to prove themselves.
We have the money from Wilson, Christie and Juke.
Strikers are vital. Surely we have some snap them up options out there?

On the other hand it's better to look closely rather than panic and rush isn't it?

I don't think we panicked with Swanson and Obrien sometimes you just know. Strikers is our most vital bit.
I still have faith two signings of two quality strikers is on the menu.
Nearly as good as picking up the phone and making the most important phone call in CCFC history ;)
