Now, just the socks and shorts to be figured and and drawn up on a computer screen. King Of Shaves plastered across the front of the shorts apparently.

Terry Gibson's perm

Not overly surprised though. Season tickets have sold well so why wouldn't that reflect in merchandise.

They really need to have a better offering especially for the kids it’s an easy money maker for them.

Seeing Norwich sponsored by Lotus Cars and Huski Chocolate sponsoring McLaren F1, Indycar and Millwall, I'm surprised one of our own fans didn't try and get in on the act and organise something either from Banbury-based Aston Martin or his own organisation, Christian Horner, the Racing Director of Red Bull F1 Racing.

Considering how often Mr Horner likes to mention he's a Cov fan, I've never even seen him in a scarf, let alone a replica shirt :)

Or should we have tempted Tom Grennan in the same way Ipswich have got Sheeran ? :p

I think it's really nice - I also actually quite like the sponsor.

- British brand
- Fairly well known
- Honest company and not theiving spivs with nefarious motives like gambling or crypto firms
- Its also quite 'manly' (if I'm allowed to say that !) therefore suiting a men's football team

CBS would have been a sound front of shirt sponsor, but honestly why are people getting so worked up about this ?

Doug King is also the owner of Yelo Enterprises, revenue £79m, along with other companies.

he’s no Roman Abramovic but this talk of him being a pauper & so on are rubbish.

That business is pretty underwhelming financially - what else does he do?

Personally, I like it, though I am a retro fan and that early 90s shirt brings back fond memories. Though it does look like Hummel have merged two shirts to get this latest one....

And maybe Saddlebrains is right and the club have struggled to get a sponsor. Any port in a storm. And it may only be a filler. 6 months later, we could do a deal with a.n.other and replace it. The shirt I think is a fixed entity according to the EFL, as we've seen shirt sponsored be removed before, that aspect certainly isn't.

hate it

take 86/87 out and you have:

89 to 92.. failure in semis of league cup, post cup final glow gone, Don Howe, Terry Butcher, almost going down at Villa Park- mediocre times at best

00 to 01.. relegation, Craig Bellamy etc

and more recently the bottom division & horrendous Nike efforts.

don’t care about the sponsor but I think it’s rubbish and Hummel have just dialled it in. Record sales are due to the general goodwill and I hope it sells loads more.. but I hate it

I can't find any mention of it anywhere but someone told me he's sponsoring the women's and girl's teams but to be clear it wasn't anyone who claims to be itk so could very well be complete bollocks

Wheres this from? Only a balance sheet in their official accounts.

its just nonsense. Lots of related companies and King Of Shaves is no more than a brand name really, there are zero employees for example… he’s no billionaire but the exaggeration and sensationalist nonsense on here is… well it’s just business as usual I guess

Some odd takes today. Not a fan of it personally, but it might grow one me and I'll buy it for the kids. Also fans of other clubs seem to really like it.

Some people seem angry though and there are some really weird conspiracies doing the rounds. Twitter has gone full on batshit.

Will king is the majority share holder of king of shaves - what other companies does Doug King have directorships in

They've gone from making a loss to a £2m operating profit. Not the best margin agreed, but RCMA Capital and Services have an operating margin of around 90% on £20m revenue. Hes not some numbnuts whos fluked his way into his position, he's obviously got something about him.

at least someone knows to look at facts as opposed to chuck around wild theories and made up stories.

It’s not a bad group- not massive but well run and very profitable when you look at the bigger picture instead of cherry picking to fit a narrative

but I still don’t like the new kit!

Well the facts are very clear - Yelo is a small company which is owned by him and his other brother

The hedge fund I think has a portfolio of £400m - given Seppalas fund was at one stage £6 billion I don’t see why you’ve suddenly popped up again
