Well it does for those that can read?
My bad I battled the ads to read it on Coventry Live, that quote isn't included.

It does.
Did Robins fall asleep suddenly? He didn't finish his sentence
Souare gone. Sounds like Robins liked him but budgets are too tight.
I can’t understand this as it contains a double negative and I expect a typo as well?

We all know Bright is a gamble if it comes off though and he performs as we know he can imo he offers a lot more than Paterson and younger.
Something something something Blackburn. Something something something COVIDSo, no more additions before our first game.
Please tell me again how our transfer window has gone swimmingly.

I haven't seen anybody say it's gone swimmingly? I have just seen that people haven't had a meltdown before the end of the transfer window.
2bf we’ve signed 6 players, not a bad window. More than happy for the line up to beThat's ok, the goalposts can keep being moved.
'It's three weeks until the start of the season, stop overreacting.'
Most people that have expressed concern have been shot down tbf.

How can the goalposts be moved when it's what most people have said all along?
No what's been shot down are the complete meltdowns, and the over the top reactions when we are clearly still recruiting? I think almost everybody has said they would be concerned if we don't sign a defender?
Disagree. Certain posters have over the past couple of months actively sought to shoot posters down in response to not being happy with certain signings at every opportunity. Many of the complaints haven't even been invalid however that doesn't seem to matter to the aforementioned forum do-gooders.
It's specifically come from the group who consider themselves to be morally and intellectually superior because they arse lick everything and anything the club does and rarely question the status quo.

You haven't read what I said properly.
Most of the skepticism has been reasonable, and there were a few eyebrows raised several weeks back. This was met with 'there are still weeks to go before the season starts' as a kick back to pretty much any one of those comments.
The same people are now saying that it doesn't matter because the transfer window isn't over yet. It's tedious and a prime example of goalposts being moved.
My view is that it's okay to question but it isn't okay to attack at every opportunity. The issue is there are posters at both extremes.
The sensible view is let's wait and see? Stop either writing off or claiming a player is the next Messiah judging players until we see them play.
It's all people jumping to conclusions based off nothing but conjecture, 'oh we wasted all the money on the attack' but 2/3 more signings are yet to sign so that doesn't even make sense?
As I say, let's wait 3 more weeks if we don't sign anybody else I'm 99% certain almost everybody who has stood by the recruitment will agree that we have issues.
There are 6 games before the window closes and we pretty much all agree that we need at least 1 defender.
It isn't absurd to suggest that recruitment hasn't gone brilliantly when a position everyone on this board has identified as weak hasn't been strengthened at all before we start playing football.
I wonder if Robins is aware??? Lol. I don’t think it’s about dismissing or belittling other's opinions for me it’s about what’s happening. There are 6 games before the window closes and we pretty much all agree that we need at least 1 defender.

But we signed McCallum after already having Giles in place. The only reason Walsh was signed is because Kelly got injured. They were both replacements for first team players. But if we sign Clark-Salter/A.N Other who turns out to be a brilliant defender, then it's been a successful window.
As I mentioned above McCallum & Walsh were both signed after the start of the season and were key players. There's nothing to suggest that can't happen again.
Granted I don't think it's valid to state that a player is a poor signing before seeing him in action however if you formulate a reasonable arguement as to why you question whether they'll be an improvement on what we've had previously I really don't see how there's anything wrong with that.
I'm afraid I don't agree. It's not really all that sensible to outright refuse to even comment on a player prior to seeing them in action - as to me it merely just suggests that you either lack the intellect or balls to form an actual view. For instance, I've seen posters, and they know full well who they are, deride others for reasonably questioning a signing and when counter-questioned as to why they're so sure said signing will come good they've simply said because if it's a Robins signing then of course they'll be an upgrade.
Which proves my point regarding a lack of intellect and/or balls as frankly that's an idiotic stance to take as no manager has the record to warrant such blind faith being afforded to them.
I wonder if Robins is aware??? Lol. I don’t think it’s about dismissing or belittling other's opinions for me it’s about what’s happening.
Those who want to take any opportunity to show how robins is unhappy and will be moving on and Sisu are the worst owners of any professional club in the uk are saying not replacing osti is a sign of these things and me and others are suggesting without evidence otherwise it’s probably a mix of no supporter income for 18 months and no one being certain of wages and bring careful with budgets.
I’m happy it’s somewhere between the two but I am happy boddy and robins have been consistent in what they’ve said. From boddy saying football will be paying for last season for a long time and robins saying he has a budget to work with.
Expect 3 more signings the sooner the better
Again if you are aware why would robins not be and you’re assuming he clicks his fingers and players sign. It’s much more complex isn’t it?But we signed McCallum after already having Giles in place. The only reason Walsh was signed is because Kelly got injured. They were both replacements for first team players.
With the defence as it is now we're relying on a guy who was injured last year, a guy who is at the twilight of his career and a guy that played poorly at times last season on his wrong side. If any of those go down with injuries or suspensions then we're left with prospects.
This has been the case all summer and we're going into the first game having done nothing to rectify it.
