What about James MacLean or Robbie Brady both without a club and can play left wing back? Also Kieran Westwood still a free agent

McClean is still contracted to Stoke so would still require a fee or some form of pay off figure

I think Maatsen showed us yesterday what a good player he is and is going to be and with the left sided Salter-Clarke next to him will improve so do we need another on loan LWB ahead of another midfielder not sure we do, permanent maybe I don’t want a repeat of last season with two loaned in young LWBs one hardly being used at the expense of possibly an attacking midfield player to me that’s just a waste of a loan place.

Newcastle midfielder Matty Longstaffe heading out on loan, not sure if we would be able to get him?

Two weeks to go. Do we reckon we’ll get this second loan in? No rumours at all is a bit of a worry, usually we hear something from somewhere when we’re looking around.

Without doubt we’ll get second loan in but more interesting for me are other ins and outs before end of august

Just hope we can either hold onto everyone first team or get enough to add quality in several positions if we do lose someone.

Feeling quite positive about the first XI, but we’ve got three more loans we could use and it’d be nice to get some cover in across the pitch.

Slightly concerning we didn’t trust Jones to make an impact over Allen when chasing the game yesterday and that Bright still isn’t around the first team. If they aren’t going to make it maybe an AM loan in, maybe a ST until Jan while Walker and Godden are recovering. CM obviously a concern while Kelly and Eccles are out.

I haven't done a like for like with other teams, but it does feel a bit like our players are a bit injury prone as well.

In regards to Jones, I'd say Robins didn't want to risk putting him on just for the Barnsley thugs to end his career. Wasn't worth the risk sadly against neanderthal tactics.

Barnsley’s tactics wasn’t the time for Jones
