Nothing at all
I think Robins is reasonably happy with what he's got and doesn't want to be held to ransom or make any panic buys
He was talking about planning for the January window last week
But of course this may just be poker if we have actually got someone in mind where the player's club are holding out for more than we can afford
No Jack Wheelchair for us so by the sounds of it

Bored at work so thinking of potential 'outs' with the window closing in under 2 weeks.

Obviously we have Jobello, Hilsner who are completely out of sight with us now. Can we cancel the contracts, come up with an agreement i.e Kastaneer? Not sure.

Loans out:

I think the National League is open to loans pretty much all season so a few could go out there after August but for league footy,
I'd like to see N'gandu (rumoured Exeter in the summer) to go out on loan, it's now time for him to show what he can go.
Same with Drysdale, it's clear now with Jake coming in that DD won't be on the bench except for injury or suspension so needs a loan, to a league 1 team.
Josh Reid - depending on if we get cover in, he needs first team footy really and no, I wouldn't send him back to Scotland. He needs English, intense league 1/2 footy. One of my concerns with JBurroughs on loan to Ross County was that Reid found our training ridiculously intense compared to SPL footy, so loaning him back there surely doesn't help.

With these three going out on top of Billson, Bapaga and Cashman, we have are 'core' stars and hopefully future first teamers out getting regular footy and following a similar path to Eccles and coming back fitter, stronger and ready for us.

Can players still be loaned to Scottish clubs once the window closes
Don't think so. So with Reid we'll know shortly if he's gonna continue his develop with u23s (which wouldn't be a bad thing considering he's still having to step up to our intensity) or go out to Scotland.

The other one is Blaine Rowe who's never had a loan out but I believe is highly thought so.

I think I would rather Jobello as back up for Dabo at the min 🤣

Add to that fringe players who may want to go out themselves to get games like Pask, Shppers and Jamie Allen
Although Allen did well against Blackpool he will know that once Liam Kelly is back he will fall further down the pecking order
It will probably be easier for experienced guys like them to find clubs than people in the bomb squad

I know Ryan Howley has been around the first team squad, but it is probably beneficial for him to go out on loan to a league one team.

I do wonder what the Shipley plan is now.

Shippers himself probably would be open for a move I guess
He's Cov through and through but he's not a fool
He'll see a hopeless case like Da Costa being sent on ahead of him at Blackpool and know the writing's on the wall
It's not just us fans who can see Da Costa's frailties
Opponents as well as our own players know them only too well

If we have to bring Dacosta on can’t we do it further up the pitch? The likelihood of costing us a goal is reduced then!

Can we just send teams footage of DaCosta's cameo against Forest last season?

I'm hoping Shipley steps up like Sheaf and (maybe Allen) has but the fact he's not being given that chance against Blackpool for example suggests maybe his time is up.

He isnt going to make it at this level. His general play and lack of fitness alone count against him

Regarding Howley, if he’s on a full time contract we can loan him out as he’s 17. I wouldn’t think he’d be anywhere near ready for a league one loan though

I'm bit worried a bigger fish will swoop in for Gus or O'Hare late on, could really derail things unless we have time to sort replacements

Whilst I appreciate that Shipley needs to playing at his stage of career. I think we need to be careful before jettison him for this season, as the number of injuries and suspensions we incurred last season did mean Shipley played an important role in last season.

I think his development is probably best served here with us for another year. He's getting good exposure and a year with the u23's and being around the first team will be good for him. Reassess next pre-season

He didnt play an important role. He was played put of necessity due to squad depletion and 90% of the time was fucking shit

Gerrard told Sky News yesterday that he is close to signing a midfielder for Rangers. It's a worry.

Gah I hope its not him, If it happens I hope it happens quickly and gives us enough time to sort a replacement

They don't have the funds to sign Hamer for any significant fee at the moment. Gerrard has already admitted they need a significant sale themselves to balance the books.

Pretty much this, they are looking at a 40 million hole in their budget now they are out of the champions league. They are likely to need to sell players just to balance the books this year.

What would you say is a significant fee?
