Failing to qualify for the CL means most decent players are now off limits to them for both financial and prestige reasons. The only appeal would be a shortcut to elite European football and neither have qualified in ages
We were told that DaCosta could play LWB equally as effectively as he does RWB...I was surprised if Robins was going to make that sub that he did not put Dabo to LWB for a few mins. DaCosta was a heads gone straight away.
He did tbf, he’s just as shit on either side!We were told that DaCosta could play LWB equally as effectively as he does RWB...
Indeed. He did tbf, he’s just as shit on either side!
Scotland all but guaranteed Champions League group stage spot after Rangers' Euro exploits
THE winners of next season's Scottish Premiership are virtually guaranteed direct entry into the group stage of the 2022/23 Champions League thanks…www.heraldscotland.com
Still a whole season away
Ironic if Rangers' euro exploits end up guaranteeing Celtic a spot in the Champs league group stages.Still a whole season away
Yes but one of them will be in the group stages next year and all the money that brings.
Good point, well made. Although I think he got about 4 appearances in but yeah, different experience. He went out to Iceland last season?

Yeah, it worked out in the end but it was a bit of a mental sub from Robins to bring him and Rose on and completely replace the left side of our defence with that little left of the game.To be fair to Da Costa, it was a horrible time to be introduced, with Blackpool ramping up the pressure, and playing on his least preferred side.
Think he was concerned about both JCS and Maatsen being on yellows? Only reason I can think ofYeah, it worked out in the end but it was a bit of a mental sub from Robins to bring him and Rose on and completely replace the left side of our defence with that little left of the game.
Maatsen had just picked up his wrist injuryThink he was concerned about both JCS and Maatsen being on yellows? Only reason I can think of
Agree with this. He's had a dreadful start to the season but if they had scored at the end it would have been on Robins. Who takes off two left sided defenders when you are 1-0 in injury timeTo be fair to Da Costa, it was a horrible time to be introduced, with Blackpool ramping up the pressure, and playing on his least preferred side.

Maatsen was dead on his feet. Rose was solid when he came onThink he was concerned about both JCS and Maatsen being on yellows? Only reason I can think of
Nor me I think it’s going to be an interesting 11 daysI think if we bring in 1 more it will be a left back. As good as Maatsen has been I think it’s a big ask for a 19 year old to play the whole season. I’m sure he has played centre midfield for Holland youth teams too so he could cover there if we are desperate.
Wouldn’t rule out robins bringing in 2 before the end of the window though.
I’m just as concerned about Hamer and O’Hare exiting this window. They have both got off to great starts…..Nor me I think it’s going to be an interesting 11 days
Maa is a young lad, had a bang on his wrist and was tiring. JCS had not played 90 mins for a while and was blowing a bit. Fresh legs was the right decision. Got away with it a bit, but that is why a squad is a big deal in the Championship.Think he was concerned about both JCS and Maatsen being on yellows? Only reason I can think of

I've seen his Insta too, and he does seem to be around Cov a lot. Just not seen anything official. Seems a strange thing to hold off announcing. He's got @Coventrycityfc on his insta and posted today location coventry. Not a stalker, honest just checked it to see after this question
Yeah considering he's been in trial since before end of last season. Also no announcement of the mysterious u23 who's off to the prem! Mind you they took ages to announce RusI've seen his Insta too, and he does seem to be around Cov a lot. Just not seen anything official. Seems a strange thing to hold off announcing.

I think Jones would have been a better option. That's how bad Da Costa isTo be fair to Da Costa, it was a horrible time to be introduced, with Blackpool ramping up the pressure, and playing on his least preferred side.
Dacosta needs to go out on loan to league one to get a bit of experience
