I think Boddy has already said that the club wanted to own more players rather than loaningAlso I can imagine a good chunk of incomings will be loans which is probably contributing to the delay. It often takes PL clubs an age to approve loans as they want to ensure that they are in a position to let them go out.

We’ve Got no money, it’s all being spent on Sheaf who half of us don’t want, everyone we get linked with that’s half decent goes elsewhere and we haven’t signed anyone when lots of clubs around us have. Unfortunately... it smells lol

They know they'll be given a chance to get plenty of minutes if they're good enough
