Every other club in the professional pyramid makes losses and receive either interest free money or gifts to cover the losses? Bollox

well I was referring to the championship and I certainly can’t be bothered to trawl through the various clubs I thought I’d look at blackburn as they have owners very heavily criticised for their lack of support in the club

it seems they have £140 million of loans in the club with zero interest owing

interestingly they have an overdraft facility with a bank - the annual payment is half a million on a £14 million overdraft - the bank overdraft is secured against the parent company

Waghorn looked to be lacking some sharpness. I think it was the introduction of Jones that made the bigger difference though as his starting position was higher than Maatsen

Not sure about that. Maatsen was incredibly advanced and in fact was the furthest player forward when Forest scored!

Jones was able to stay higher up for longer though because Forest were sat back. Maatsen would have done the same had he stayed on.

I assume Eccles is no longer an U23

From those I guess N'Gandu fits the bill most. Could be a team thats been tracking him for years as he was highly thought of a couple of years ago.

That is interesting. Wow they are in trouble aren’t they?

Thanks for doing what I hadn’t and looking in more detail

well only if the clubs loans are recalled - the interest rate I assume on the overdraft Is around 5 - 7% if it’s a flat payment on capital owed

Let’s face it once you’re £140m in the hole and losing money you’re best off cutting your losses rather than haemorrhaging more.

The owners have been transparent on this subject and therefore I have no issue with the business model they follow.
The club is in good hands with the football management and Robins seems to work cooperatively with them, I am sure he would like more and would happily spend it to be more competitive and perhaps have a tilt at promotion. Robins must be ambitious but I am convinced that past management posts have scarred him and he realises that this is the club where he gets respect and is allowed to manage the football side without interference

if you that much in debt then carry on spending. You are fucked anyway.

You agree then that Jones stayed higher up

I’ve heard we’ve sold an U23 player to a Premier League club - not Howley or Bapaga

The trouble with this is we won't get much money up front. Once at a PLC they are likely to disappear without trace.

They have more chance of developing and been given opportunities if they stay with us.

That’s working on the assumption that the club doesn’t desperately need the money - none of the first team players look they’re going to generate anything soon

We may need the cash
