I bloody loved Ndlovu...what a player he was.
Never heard so much noise at an away game by our fans than that Wimbledon game. Everyone else won that day down at the relegation end of the table so it was a vital win. That game stands out as one of the most memorable. Can't think of one goal that he scored which was a simple tap inFavourites though are the Wimbledon away 2-0 win with 7000 Cov fans in attendance. Nuddy scampering from the halfway line to slot it past Hans Segers. But best memory was his impertinent dribble at Goodison Park, from outside our penalty area zigging and zagging and utterly confusing the Everton defenders (and most of the Cov players too ) before deftly lobbing Nev Southall from outside the Everton box. 1-1 on the day but that run always stood out.
Not sure and yesWhy did he not go even further, do people think?
Possibly the most exciting and talented player i have seen play for us. On his day looked on a completely different level to everyone else. Great memories like him coming on (his debut?) at Highbury and scoring, the goal against the Villa, the Wimbledon match and a home game against Ipswich when he was outstanding.
However, my overriding feeling is he didn't achieve anywhere near as much as he should have. Wouldn't make it into my all time best City 11, although would probably be a sub.
Left in the team too long by Sillett and unfortunately the confidence drained out of him meaning the inevitable happened and the crowd turned on him. What about David Smith . Phenomenal talent. Not sure he believed that though
Loved that the commentators couldn't pronounce his name, one used to pronounce it Peter Un-lovo, then there was Peter Und-Luuurve in a Barry White style
Steve Hunt and Tommy HutchisonWho would you have ahead of him on the wing?
Pitch measurements and then the stand or terrace that would immediately loom I would say were the main reasons. Why did he not go even further, do people think?

Clive would have had nightmaresPhil Neal couldn't pronounce it......although that's hardly a shock...
Was at plough lane that day he was a superb talent a genius. Can't think of one goal that he scored which was a simple tap inFavourites though are the Wimbledon away 2-0 win with 7000 Cov fans in attendance. Except it wasn't at Plough LaneWas at plough lane that day he was a superb talent a genius.
Was at Selhurst Park no?Was at plough lane that day he was a superb talent a genius.
I feel old!Ah well be before my time
Someone mentioned earlier that game was 7000 City fans there,I remember reading there were 10000 of us there. Really warm day and the Cov players coach struggled to get past as we were all drinking outside the pubs near the ground.Ndlovu at Palace v Wimbledon (work that out) with Dion at centre back. Needed to win to stay up in the very pale Pony kit.
Cov fans took up the whole side in fancy dress . What an away day that was
And Strachan walked round the pitch to tell the fans to stop running on after we scored. It was in vain as Pink Panther ran past himSomeone mentioned earlier that game was 7000 City fans there,I remember reading there were 10000 of us there. I’ve often wondered this, and having seen a lot of Ndlovu between 1993 and 1996, he seemed to dip dramatically in and out of form. Teams, I feel, cottoned onto his directness and marked him closely, and at times he would make odd decisions with the ball. Why did he not go even further, do people think?
Lee Ndlovu plays for BorehamwoodThere was an Ndlovu who scored yesterday for a lower league team. I just caught the name on the BBC ticker tape thing but missed full name and team before it disappeared. Anyone know who he is and if he might be related to our Nuddy?
