This was the attendance at Wigan vs Bournemouth tonight.... just makes you think how lucky we are to have the support/fan base we have even in league 2, even with years of no success, even with SISU.... PUSB

Nearly 40,000 for West Ham v Shrewsbury though
They had prices at £10 for adults and £1 for U16's
Is making it affordable the answer?
Don't know what Wigan charged

  • Tickets for the match priced at £10 Adults, £5 Over 65s/Under 18s, Under 5s £2.

Bloody hell that was a good offer so the paltry crowd is a surprise
Perhaps all FA cup ties should be settled in the first game to do away with replays

That would take a bit of the romance away for me, little club scraping a backs to the wall draw at home against a big side and getting a big money replay at Old trafford. That kind of thing.

Yes Definately. During the stoke match the guy behind me said I'd tale the draw at 1-1. After how fucked the players were after the Xmas period I thought the last thing we needed was ANOTHER game to play at there place. Although I'm glad we won, I'd of rather lost 2-1 than of had to of had a replay! No need for replays! Just straight to ET and pens!

That's exactly what the PL giants want, the inconvenience of the FA cup out of the way. It's only one replay, and most pitches (Ricoh aside) are in great nick these days. Not like the old days of replays until a winner was found on pitches like ploughed fields. On top of that there were 4 more league games and the League Cup was played over two legs. All now brushed aside so it doesn't get in the way of the precious 'Champions League' and qualification for said league. #rantover

Wigan have really bad support. Notorious for it.

As we can see with the MK game, even though it is not the only factor. Price usually does have a comfortable sway on how many people go.

But it's Wigan, always was and always will be a rugby town, only Dave Whelan's wealth Catapulted
them up the leagues albeit more likely on a temporary basis, at home to another club who are hardly

when I was a kid I remember an FA semi final between Liverpool and Arsenal that seemed to go on
Forever, eventually being decided at Highfield Road.

I've decided I want a 2-2 draw (no injurie) away at MK, then the winners get Man U (or similar) at home. Then we can do an offer for the MK replay, where you're guaranteed a ticket for Man U if you attend MK home game. Will pack the place out, we beat them and are suddenly the richest club in the Midlands!!
