A call for some realism.

Played 4 including 2 teams who finished in the top 6 last season and the strongest team to be relegated (Leicester).

1 very unlucky defeat.

It's not perfect but it's a very decent platform on which to build and drive forward.

From my viewpoint, the new style of play is very positive and entertaining. We have fantastic technical quality in the new signings and way more depth. I suspect we will have a couple of new signings this week. But as Robins has said this is a new team and it will take time to bed in.

We simply have to keep together and move on from the Vik and Hamer era. They've gone. Criticizing and jumping on the back the new players for missing chances that Vik would supposedly have finished (in reality however amazing Vik was, he also missed chances) is not going to help anyone.

Good times ahead with this squad but let's be patient and allow the lads to bed in and build the momentum.

Come on then Grendel - let's hear it - are you at all positive about the team and our potential? I believe you should be.

Or is it all doom and gloom, criticism, taxis, get Jackett in to sort it all out, the club's a disaster, Hamer will never play in the prem and the usual grandstanding and general hysterics? :)

Regardless of how Middlesbrough did last season, they have been garbage so far this season. I mean big lump midfielder Matt Crooks playing centre half. Lost 3 drew 1 and conceded 9 goals in their first 4 games.

I agree, think it was a good time to play Sunderland as well, but 4 points from those 2 games isn't the end of the world.

More gutted we didn't get something from Leicester which was probably our best performance of the season.

Don’t think he said anything negative it’s an ok start - thought we weren’t great against Sunderland and if they had better forwards we’d have lost and same against boro - we should have won the 2 away conversely so it’s ok

5 games in if you include our loss against League 2 Wimbledon...

I’d say it’s been an average start and still think it’ll be a season of transition and would be happy with a top 10 finish.

We had 1 point after 4 games last season. We have 5 points now after the same amount of games. Just checked and we had 3 points after 7 games last season. Had to wait for game 8 to get our first win. I’m very happy.

completely agree and can only see us improving, bar injuries which could easily leave us short!

when the fixtures came out first 5 games i thought looked horrendous, after Watford i think we have a chance to pick up some decent points, and im not ruling out 3 points from Watford!
