Is?And Coventry us a city of ‘fervent football fans’? Certainly not in my lifetime.
Yep - I was involved in one Sunday League game in the early '90's that was a 'double header'.I know its 50 odd years ago but I'm pretty sure we did that in the local leagues on occasions
Me neither. Seems to happen all the time tho.I honestly don’t get the “shite draw” comments.

I mean, what does it take to get people revved up - Away to Melchester Rovers or maybe Third Lanark?
Some decent posts on the Southampton forum about us, rare positivity about the club and our city.
We are almost identical in size really. Similar historical crowds, league status and both have one major honour. Even the stadium is identical in size.
Funnily enough, the start of their rise back to the PL began by winning the JPT.
Still don’t like the fact that the FA Cup has been so devalued.
If it could become a direct gateway to the Champions League then that’d revitalise the whole thing.
Something along the lines of:
4th place PL plays FA Cup winner (if not in 1st-4th in PL) at Wembley for the Charity Shield and the 4th CL spot.
Nearly every team will then absolutely go for it and the attendance and in turn TV revenues will fly.
FA Cup final day used to be the THE day. Now the play off final for going up from the Champ is bigger.
Just doesn’t seem right

It’s dominated by the top clubs in the country. Pompey and Wigan are the only two outsiders in the last 30 years
I think that something along these lines is the only way to revitalise the competition.Still don’t like the fact that the FA Cup has been so devalued.

F’em.I think UEFA would have something to say on that
My god man have some hope! We are a decent team. It’s shite because we are going out

i agree but i would go one step further, 4th place shouldnt win anything in my book, top 3 get Champions League slot, winner of the FA cup gets the 4th. If its then the same team i'd be inclined to give the 4th slot to FA cup runner up, its the biggest/best domestic cup in the world and the winner should earn the right to play in Europe.Still don’t like the fact that the FA Cup has been so devalued.

How are things on Planet Delusion? This is not the draw i was hoping for. You could argue a below average premier league team with a medicre following. Yet they often produce some good football. They should beat us and we would need to be at our very best with a bit of luck to reverse that.
Somone said we should aim to emulate them? Why? A city quite a bi smaller than Coventry and not exactly a place full of fervant football fans. I should hope we would be better than Southampton should we get back to the top flight.
I really was hoping for Man Utd/Liverpool or Chelsea away, and if not an easy home tie to the likes of Borehamwood! Not to be and I'll be thinking of the extra game pile up in our quest for the playoffs.

Will never happen though!

Can't imagine there will be a huge demand from their fans so we'll probably get all of those if we want them.I've read that cup games, they can allocate up to 4750 tickets? I'll be going to this, it's one of the grounds I've never been to.
Driving down and booking a hotel.
