5 Wins and we are in the Prem (1 Viewer)

All we need to be focusing on is beating Birmingham and then getting some kind of result on the last day. If we do that and still don’t make it, hats off to the two teams who did better.

Don’t beat Birmingham and it’s probably gone.

Agree. Just beat Blues. We'll possibly go into that game outside the playoff positions, it's incredibly tight and we just need to focus on winning our games.

They will have no pressure and a huge away following behind that goal. Crowd need to be up for it and to stick behind the players even if we go behind.

Your right I'm getting confused with all the teams in it 🤣 Is it Burnley as Blackburns game in hand?
Yes, Tuesday night, just to add a little bit of fuel to that fire Burnley are under threat or a points deduction from the EFL for playing a weakened team I think against Reading so although promotion is in the bag might put the league title under threat and give them a needed boost v Blackburn and Sheff. United v WBA.

I fucking hate playing Birmingham they always seem to play dog shit but take points off us.

Apart from when we stuck four past them, it’s routinely 0-0 isn’t it?

Im leaning toward a Sunderland win today as isn’t that the best chance we have of it being completely in our own hands come 10pm Wednesday? If we can go into Saturday not relying on other results that would be best for my ticker.

Draw or baggies win. Sunderland out of it if they lose.

Usually we end up outplaying them but missing chance after chance, a bit like yesterday. Hopefully Gyo brings his shooting rather than shitting boots

Yep with Birmingham kicking us up in the air. The ref doing nothing about it. Our players getting more and more frustrated and a 0-0 full time.

West Brom and Rovers could in theory still be on the same points as us or more I think with their game in hand would pull Sunderland in to the race to on 65 points but no game in hand.

If blackburn lose to burnley midweek , we don't need to worry about anybody else , millwall have to go to Blackpool Friday and win , if they don't and we win Saturday against blues , there is every chance we are already qualified in the playoffs by the time blackburn play Monday
Sunderland today worry me too.

If they win today. Their GD will be better with more goals scored and an easier run in.

Theres way too many permutations.

We need an absolute minimum 4 points.

3 points and we will be relying on GD.

Just imagine. Draw today, WBA and Blackburn lose midweek. Then results go our way and we confirm playoffs at home in front of a full house 😍
Also millwall play their next game vs Blackpool A next friday night. Think we will be watching that closely.

It's only about three weeks ago that there was a serious thread discussing whether we needed a whole new team. In the 94th minute on Wednesday we were no-hopers, a few days later and we're planning trips to the Etihad. Some proper mood swings on this forum.

The new team in truth is we do as most these players won’t be here

I can't see how 70 points can possibly be enough.

Max points from here:

Millwall 71
Blackburn 74
Albion 75
Sunderland 71

We have to win the last two imo.
Max points and points gained are two totally different beasts.

WBA down to 72 already.
Millwall on a poor run.
Blackburn have a very difficult run in.
Sunderland away to Preston last game. Preston could still have a chance themselves going into the last game.

Of course, but it doesn't change the fact a couple of these teams are likely to finish with a couple of wins. Fancy Blackburn to beat Burnley and Millwall to beat Blackpool. Maybe they won't, but I'd be very surprised if 70 points is enough.

Been saying for a couple of weeks that 69 points could be enough.

Millwall? Last 7 games 1 win, 2 draws and 4 defeats. 5 points from last 7 games. Lost last 2 games to sides near the bottom. Last game of the season home to Blackburn. Only 1 side at most can win that game.

Blackburn? Have you seen their recent form? 6 games this month. Drawn 4 lost 2. 2 points from last 6 games. Their next 3 games? H Burnley H Luton and A Millwall. They're a point below us with a game in hand. But the GD is 12 in our favour. If we beat Birmingham they would need a win and two draws or 2 wins. Burnley will be well up for the game.

According to Futbology I've watched City 245 times, so there's a chance my 250th game could be a play off final and promotion to the Premier League.

There must be people still around who have Private Seat Licences from the Operation Premiership era? I know the padded seats are gone but as far as I know they were never redeemed or refunded (even through Sixfields)
One of the benefits was an to attend PSL party with the players once we get into the PL. Might be quite an exclusive affair..

You think Albion winning 2 and drawing 1 of their last 4, and Millwall winning two on the bounce (one at Blackpool and one at home) would be extraordinary? Or if Millwall don't do that, Blackburn win 2 out 3? There is a very good chance these things happen.

They may not, it is possible we make playoffs with 70 points, but I doubt it would be enough.
Didn't even need 70 in the end :)
