Not only are they not allowed to play any other football club, they can't play any other sport. It's a joke. Kids that age should be having fun, going and playing as much sport as they can manage. Sucks the soul out completely when there's 8 year old kids signing a contract saying if they injure themselves playing cricket or rugby or something they'll be kicked out of the academy.
I made enquiries too, they played three 25 minute sessions and unfortunately lost the first session 29-0.dragging it back out but finally spoke to my neighbor he says they dont track score at that level but they scored somewhere around 30 and our lads scored at least 5 as his lad scored 3 of them. still sounds harsh to let it get that out of hand at U9's
