My dad rip used to support Northampton when he lived there and I have a real fondness for them. He then moved to coventry for work and his love of the sky blues started.

My form tutor at school married an ex right back of theirs, Vic Cockcroft and I have a programme from the early 50's of a cup game against Chelsea that he played in.

Dad said for years, before he died, that money had ruined the game and refused to go eventually.

I thought he was the one losing out but the way I feel now I think he was right and that this situation was only a matter of time for Ccfc.

I did share Wembley with him and I will never forget the elation of speedie chipping the second away to Norwich the week after Sutton had dumped us out the fa cup.

He also shared the donkey kick with my eldest brother, gibsons 4 goals against Liverpool with my sister and many more memories that bring a smile to my face.

You see Sisu football is about community, its about family, its about connections, its about me and my 6 year old sharing my father in laws seat and programme. You don't get that Mr Fisher, otherwise you would realise that removing our club from coventry is just unacceptable!

No business, football or not can continue to spend millions more than it receives in income and hope to have a successful future.

No business can alienate 92% of its fan base and care about the future.

We have indeed lost our club as things stand rip dad and rip ccfc

I guess for balance we're now back in Coventry, arguably on an upward trajectory, in a better place than then, a higher league, better players and manager and with a better agreement on the rent we are paying and bizarrely of all things, SISU are pretty much the one constant in all of that! It's a strange old world at times!! :)

Balance ? I reckon we are as far as we can get with this lot running the club, can you imagine them getting their mits on the £100 million + premier tv money with a bit of luck they might double MRs budget.

I think they would take their money and run in that scenario.

Sticking my pendants head on, Terry Gibson didnt score 4 goals against Liverpool. It was a hat trick for sure but Nicky Platnaur got the other one with an odd diving header when it would have been easier to tap the ball into the net with his foot. Happy days !

Nick Platnaeur
was wondering if he was our least likely player of the season

we have had Jim O Brien
George thomas (who was player of 2 games)

But Nick Platnaeur, player of the season in a top flight team takes some beating

Football is about community, a shared experience with generations of family, a sense of belonging, of taking the milk crate to the front of the Kop so you can see over the wall, of the rosette and the rattle, of heroes in Sky Blue, of posters of Willie Carr and Dennis Mortimer on your wall from shoot, of graduating to various parts of the ground and joining in the chants, silk and satin scarves, defending your turf against marauding interlopers, looking down King Richard Street from the top of the bus catching a glimpse of your ground on any journey to and from town, experiencing the highs and too many lows that accompanied you on following this club, saying farewell to loved ones who introduced you to this pain and pleasure of our club, of all the highs and lows of games won and lost versus the giants of our game and the minnows.
I am the person who still sheds a private tear when the teams come out, representing a city I haven’t lived in since 1978 but its blood swirls around my body as if I never left, spreading my mission to convert the world to my faith. Abject failure.
I no longer care about the ownership, too many wasted hours and too much energy wasted on something that is not in my hand but I care as passionately for my team as I did when George Curtis carried the ball out from the tunnel followed by Bill Glazier. That is me carrying my dad with me today as he did in 1967. The journey continues.
Sky Blue Pete, carry your dad with you.
