Anyone who recorded the game on Sky today, play it back and fast forward to 88 mins 58 secs and freeze frame it just about there.

McGoldrick has the ball on the left flank and is just lining up to cross the ball. In the picture are 8 Stevenage defenders, all in and around the box, 4 inside, 2 right on the edge and 2 approaching McGoldrick to close him down.

In the box for us just 2 City attackers and not another Sky Blue shirt in the entire picture. Move it on a few frames and Jordan Clarke does appear at the far post running in, but also another Stevenage player is there with him.

9 Stevenage defenders, 3 City players attacking.

Tells you all you need to know about what is wrong.

Even if you go back a few frames you will see Connor Thomas pass the ball to McGoldrick and then move backwards and disappear out of the picture.

Slow, ponderous, cautious and predictable I'm afraid.

Even at 2-1 down, we were still trying to keep possession along the defence. I am not saying hoof it but have a little bit of urgency!

TBF, that team from that Father Ted episode has more pace than ours, so it's a hard job getting forward fast!

We lacked any fight. Seemed to have no urgency about us at all.

Shame Adam Barton wasn't playing today. Would have been interesting to know if he would have made any difference or is just the luxury player who disappears out of games as the Preston fans were saying.

Barton was on the pitch, he got subbed with Thomas on 70 mins. I'm not sure I saw him playing though

I actually thought his willingness to get forward into the opposition box was a positive in the first 25 mins but he faded badly and for a 6 foot + guy can't head a ball

We were crying out for a left sided player, specially after their right back was booked early on, why wasn't Sheff brought on, Hussey isn't a wing back and in his role Kilbane is drawn inside, WE HAVE NO WIDTH WHAT SO EVER.

Fair play to Stevenage, park the bus, play on the counter attack, time waste, didn't panic when they went behind, perfect away game, we could learn a lot!!

Did you see our players when they equalised, heads went down.

Good to see Brown dropped, it had to be done,
Bad not getting Sheff on, no width

Substitutions far too late again

WE ARE FAR TO NARROW !!!

Has Kilbane been subbed yet at all? cos that is what has needed to have happened.

The bloke doesn't lead by example at all for me and disappears out of games more often than not.

New manager needs to do 2 things from the off IMO:

Change captain
Tear up Browns loan deal contract (I'd decided this before he was dropped today, although today proves there isn't a daft agreement in it that he has to play :) )

This amongst doing a lot of othe things from top to bottom!
