is it me or has the club got the priority for Wembley (should we get there) completely wrong.

should go to those who went to the Burton game. Would be massively unfair to anyone who went along then to miss out to people who come along at the last minute just cos we are wembley bound

For a fans point of view yes the burton game priority would be good, for a marketing point of view and selling tickets the Crewe game is a better idea

I went to the 2009 final, cheap seats (top tier) was £20, great view and very steep
Luton took 44k, Scunthorpe took 12k, Luton asked for more and were refused, because you have to mix the fans in the same turnstyles
basically you get either the West side or east side, luton filled the east half and Scunny had the bottom teir only in the west

so hope cov get there, a great day out, might make the play off finals too

I've been to every home game bar 1 and every round of the JPT. I didn't buy a ST because wasn't sure about whether I would have to work Saturdays as had just started a new job. I probably won't get a ticket for Crew away, it's just tough shit. People who have given the club money up front via ST's deserve to get first priority.

Just booked my tickets online now and had to go through the blocks to find five seats together, looking promising of being a decent crowd. Just hope we dont get the moaners up there who jump on players backs as soon as a pass goes astray.

I'd imagine that the corner is Crewe's initial allocation, they won't sell it out, so if we sell really well, they may open that up, I only think they would if we were on course for 25k+.

The away section can be divided into 2, there r separate toilet and catering facilities, they simply drop a big shutter. If they sell out the the other 3 stands they will use the half of the away nearest scoreboard for home fans. If we buy the tickets they will open it up. That would make for a fantastic atmosphere.

Could you imagine the noise of the south stand and singers corner!!

4000 singing. If we ever got to the prem that would be the singing stand with ease.

I have a season ticket and have not been to every home game. I agree with you. We who back the club early on should get priority. I have been up the Ricoh as a season ticket holder since it opened. I think Season Ticket holders have more than paid for the privilege of being first on the list.

Which takes me to 1987..... I didn't go to the final because I had only been to a few games that season and felt hypocritical if I were to jump on the bandwagon. The semi-final was my day out and proved to be just as exciting as the final.

I think this is all hype btw. I'll eat my hat if the city take 44000 to the final for the price of 5 home games during the season. They should be at the Ricoh now. (Despite SISU). Hopefully they will go after the season ends.

Having a quick squint at Crewe fans forums:facepalm: sad I know....ointlaugh: they think they'll bring only 1000-1500 to the Ricoh for the JPT first leg...... on this basis.. CCFC must surely put Crewe fans into the corner under the safety box.... and get our fans behind the goal at both ends of the Ricoh- 25000 is 'doable' surely @ a fiver.

I think so too. Ticket sales will snowball as more are sold. I simply cannot understand any local `supporter` not making this game unless they are lying on their deathbed.

Good idea...Done

"Dear Sir/Madam.

With regard to the Crewe home fixture in the JPT- and with only 1000-1500 Crewe fans expected is it not reasonable to consider selling blocks 6,7 and 8 to Crewe fans and then selling tickets to CCFC fans in 10,11,12,13,14. This would leave 1 block(9) as a safety zone- allow CCFC fans more of a ticket allocation and if, as we are led to believe all too often by the '12th man' cliche re the importance of home fans, would see CCFC supporters behind the goal at both end of the ground. This I would assume is a low risk category game. Please consider this.

As a general notion quite why CCFC continue to employ the barren nature of blocks 9,10, 11 etc for league games mystify's me. Accepting lower attendances- surely some CCFC fans behind both goals for all games is better than the barren landscape which all to often greets Marks men as they kick toward the south stand? As a CCFC travelling fan I can think of many grounds where we the sky blue faithful are displaced to a corner, with a less than clear view, whilst home fans reside favourably seated. Its time to make our advantage pay!
"

chances of a reply.....?

It'll sell out. If people get turned away and then there's hundreds of empty seats in the Jewson it'll be a chance missed. Will be a brilliant night under the lights whatever anyway!

From going onto the purchasing of a quick seat for the home leg:

Seats left JSB area: 1139
Seats left Zone 1 (blocks 19,20,21): 121
Seats left zone 2 (excludes 'away' end and corporate bit + block 26) : 6409

Total unsold: 7669

Looking a good crowd, hopefully we can sell tickets to home fans in the 'away' end

If that's true and there's only 7.5K left it'll sell out by the end of the week.Just had a quick look online and 10 blocks (dunno how many Crewe have been given) are not even onsale. If they've got 6 ,7 and 8.That means 9,10,11,12,13,14 and 26??? are not onsale to home fans.....yet!

None of that makes sense. Club say 10k sold. Away end holds 6k. Capacity is 32k. Therefore around 16k tix are still available before away end tix go on sale.

Are season tickets seats still reserved or have they been opened up for general sale?

Its because season ticket seats are still reserved, many season ticket holders move seats for cup games so they've basically got two seats allocated to them. Also one of the corner blocks is still closed, segregation etc.

Using the online ticket thing doesn't give an accuate figure.

Just heard from the Club that 9,500 tickets have already been sold for JPT Crewe game - estimate a gate of 17,000 - 18,000 at that rate.
Come on - we should hit 25,000 at £5 a head surely?

I got my original info from a relative that works in the Club Shop/Ticket Office and she has just said that they expect sales to hit 11,000 before they turn up for work on Monday. Apparently a meeting is taking place beginning of the week to talk about where Crewe fans might be placed if ticket sales continue at the current rate. Before decision is made the police have to be consulted too so nothing is certain.

Plus - The Crewe allocation needs to be sent over on Monday so changing things might be tricky if a decision isnt made on Monday!

Segregating would be easy with a re-shuffle. Put away fans in blocks 1,2,3,4,5 and close block 6 so there is a gap. That leaves the rest for CCFC fans sorted!

This was how it was in the 07/08 season, with blocks 4-9 for away fans and us with the rest. This should be easy to do.
