A Different Incident? (1 Viewer)

"An incident occurred after the game that told me everything I need to know about certain players," said Pressley.

I presume this isn't the JOB thing?

Yes, I think he is talking about something different, perhaps somebody or a few were not bothered about he defeat, perhaps somebody didn't like being told they were a bag of shit....

Can't be.

If so I don't believe there would be anyway that JOB would have formed any part of this morning's press conference.

If it was that a few players went on the lash, what does he expect, most won't be here next season and are young men who want to have a night out. If he expects them to be sitting in a dark room sobbing he needs to get out of the management game.

Think it is something different Torch probably something that happened in the changing room

You wouldn't think he meant JOB, as even though he was s***, he never lacked the Pressley passion.

In the changing room i would expect,, you will see tomorrow night who has caught the shit from Sunday's result. I still think this is a collective problem and "players banished from the Club"!!! god, is wish this could be implemented to other department that have got us into this mess.......

Yea I think it was definitely something different that happened in the dressing room after.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Nouble tbh as I think he probably has a bit of an ego and wouldn't take criticism or being subbed off very well.

According to somebody on facefuck , (my god this is going to sound cliche)
he cut a first team players hair yesterday and he mentioned that reda and pressley got into an actual fight after reda started throwing his weight about with the younger players .
my god that sounds so yea yea yea

"I can't tell you how angry I am" but then went on to tell us how angry he was... must admit, it made me laugh.

Pressley goes on about how he wants the players to take more of a leadership role, who can think for themselves, be demanding of each other and be able to sort problems out themselves. He can't then throw a barney when he doesn't like whats being said.

Does he want a dressing room full of nodding dogs who will just obey him, do as asked and never question him. Or does he want big characters who can take the initiative out on the pitch and in the dressing room which he has been talking about this season, like Reda and Nouble.

It was only two weeks ago everyone was praising Nouble and Reda for there role in turning around the Peterborough game and now we are talking about some sort of 'incident' possibly involving them two players?

Whatever it is
It has been plain for anew week's that something isn't right across the whole squad
Has been speculated for a few weeks now the dressing room/training ground is in some sort of turmoil
Enough for him to state in a press conference a couple of weeks back that the spirit is good
Clearly it is not

According to a hairdresser of a player, Reda has gone for starting a fight in the changing rooms after the game with SP?? Also Nouble has gone. We'll see if true soon enough I suppose, but it's just a rumor from Facefook!

This kinda reminds me of when Brian Clough took over at Leeds. The players didn't want him and neither did the fans (can never understand why?), but as a result, they played how they wanted and wouldn't show him any respect as a manager. Watch the film The Damed United to get an insight of this. Players can be a fickle lot!

That all happened because of Billy Bremner, imagine him in today's football world, having a fag during training lol

Well it depends on what the reaction is surely?

Yes, and is a seemingly self confirmed doubt for Saturday due to his travelling plans.

Pressley wants nodding dogs. Hence the 'disciples' bollocks he came out with the other week.
This week he is talking of 'banishing' players from the city ffs.
Players must be pissing themselves at some of the utter shit he spouts.
Actually think he has a god complex.

This is where I get slightly confused, because he has also been talking in his interviews about wanting players who self police themselves, taking responsibility, demanding more of each other and players that can think for themselves out on the pitch.

I would like to think someone challenged Reda on pulling rank for the pen!
Tomorrow's line up is certainly a worry as we potentially have players who will play but not with the right mentality. Partly because of injuries, suspensions and internationals, but don't we also have to play 6 of the same team who started the previous game, or who are likely to start the next? Doubt Pressley will want to play the players he wants rid of in a league game so will base it on Sundays?

so Reda's off to play an international "friendly" and needs all week to travel??? which way are they going to Morocco then? via fecking Russia?? I flew to Tunisia and back last week and it only took 3hrs 15 mins each way, so he could fly back on Friday and be ready for Notts at the weekend, he'll only be sitting down on the flight.

I'd guess something like
-------Allsop
Phillips--Willis--Webster--Haynes
JOB----Fleck---Finch----Coulbaly? Or maybe a youth player?
--------Jackson--Maddison

Thats gives us 6 of Sundays line up, maybe we will be allowed an extra one for enforced changes like Burge

Sounds like the spoilt players at Man United last season too!

I did quite like the Damned United film though :)

He might just ignore the rules anyway, all you get is a small fine I believe

It's a good point this, why is he taking such an odd route back?

He could fly from Agadir leaving at 9:00, change at Casablanca, and be at Heathrow by 4:00pm on Friday. Someone could presumably pick him up from the airport and have him back in Cov so that he gets a good night's rest (or more likely, in time for happy hour at Spearmint Rhino).

Either way, no need for him to travel for 15 hours - maybe I should drop him a line and suggest that he changes his travel agent. ;)

The 'incident' told him all he needed to know about certain individuals. Taking about a lack of passion, sounds like some went out on the piss or that some of the players didn't seem bothered and left shortly after the match
