Did you really expect one?
Now normally I try not to generalise and tarnish a set of supporters with the same brush based on the actions of the few but Wednesday fans are generally good people. If you bump into someone from Sheffield and they're a bit of a wanker they're generally a United fan. It's weird really how two sets of fans from the same city can be completely different. It's rare and there aren't many places like it. Madrid has a similar situation. Turin too.
Maybe in this case though it's because all the wankerness reserved for the Wednesday fan base has been taken up by one man?
He normally replies.
I hope he has sent a copy to JS and all other SISU directors
No, I have extensive experience with both sets of fans from Sheffield. I wouldn't tarnish any set of people lightly.
In my opinion, they're wankers. In yours, they aren't.
arrived at work today to hear that there's a rumour that he's gone.
No connected source, not from someone in the know, just what's been said at work so not saying it has any validity and personally I think he's too thick skinned to do the decent thing and walk.
I lived in a Sheffield for a number of years CJ, on both the Wednesday and Blades side of town, and can confirm that you have it pretty nailed on.
Met some Blades fans who were decent but most were nasty, dour, bitter bastards, whilst the Wednesday were easier going, and funnier. I know its doesn't account for all but had a better crack and better banter every time with the Wednesday lot, who were always accommodating and overall friendly.
So lets say Fisher gets the letter and it hands his notice in. What then? Is there really going to be a rush to buy season tickets as the letter suggests?
Will people still be celebrating when they announce the return of Orange Ken, Brody or Igwe? Lets face it we've had Fisher take a back seat on more than one occasion while someone else was put front and centre. Nothing changes and they quit after a few months.
I think it would depend on how much fisher is involved in decision making. If he's just a front man and a mouth piece then him resigning if irrelevant really and I don't think any of us really know the scope of his involvement.
Please also forward a copy of this to The Football league and the FA
We should all write to the directors of Sisu requesting they put the club up for sale, bombard them with letters and E-mails.. Professional letters, nothing sloppy or abusive
Yeah, let's all write letters. That'll show them. Why would they take a loss of £20 million because 20,000 people signed a petition. Or people wrote letters. Or chanted SISU out at a game. They will go when they get as much back as possible. They have no affinity or affection for CCFC so therefore want their money back. Letters, petitions and SISU out chants will not bother them.
Whats your bright idea then?
Support and promote the club. Encourage and engage with fans of all ages. I have an idea how that could be started, unfortunately though unless I run for election I don't have an opinion.
Anyway, I digress, social media is massive. Primarily with younger generations. This could be utilised far more to support and promote the club. Nick had an idea before about picking old folk up and taking them to games. I would contribute to the cost of this, as I'm sure others would. Football and sport in general can bring people together, it's time we started that.
Edit. It wouldn't be helping SISU as such but would help CCFC and bring the fans together.
They've had 10 years to put things right. I don't think they'll attempt to do it now!
Always missing the point. Top man!
SISU have been missing the point for 10 years pal. It doesn't matter how many people fill the Ricoh SISU have a agenda only God knows what it is.....You seem to know what to do! Are you God?....Or are you
Not everyone will have one, but that doesn't make complaints invalid.
I didn't mention what SISU could do, we were discussing what fans can do. Therefore you clearly missed the point, albeit not another opportunity to shout SISU etc. Also, no one mentioned filling the Ricoh, so again missed the point. Still, got to be angry eh.
Very true mate, but it doesn't make SkyBlueZack's sarcasm any more valid because it's his opinion either.
It could be..Nah it's not.. it maybe nah...IT IS!...Sarcasm. Your opinion isn't the only valid point mate. Other posters have what they think to be valid points too you know!...And NO! you weren't discussing..You were piss taking.
I'm not championing anyone's particular point, I'm just against the 'what are you doing about it?' thing we see a bit too often.
Piss taking? I'd call it being realistic, for the reasons I mentioned. Oh, and the fact that the petition has achieved the aim of the club being put up for sale? No, it hasn't. So, not really piss taking, just observation.
You're an angry and aggressive man SBK, therefore protests, chanting, shouting and getting angry is right up your street. Personally, I think we as a fanbase can be more constructive than that. That even those who appear to have more power and influence than us, don't. That as a united fan base, we can be more constructive, therefore more positive and united. We've tried all that I have mentioned and achieved nada. My point is let's try something different. That don't involve anger and frustration, but smiles and laughing.
Been saying that for years.
When was the last times thousands of city fans were united?
Jimmy Hill way keep pushing administration to get hold of the club, they want people to be angry and worked up to boycott. Look how smug the trust etc are when they do a "raise your hand if you will renew" vote every time. The fact they said away days only also shows that there is an agenda to it rather than just being fed up of shit football.
i emailed 3 chinese companies that were linked to other clubs to buy cov. never heard back
probably shouldnt have typed it on my phone to be fair....
1) I'm far from angry.
2)Being constructive, positive, and united has got us nowhere...Remember the walk from Gosford Green to Broadgate, and the walk through Holbrooks to the Ricoh? Short term memory loss? 20k+ crowds at beginning of their tenure did nothing, Capacity crowd against Gillingham on the first game back at the Ricoh was pissed on by Fisher "We're still going to build our own Stadium" on the very same afternoon of the game!(Note, fuck all said till all the tickets were sold) Year upon year SISU have Sold/Let walk/Bombed out, our best players instead of supporting the team in the way they are obliged to do. Every season the budget has been cut instead of trying at least to build the team. IMHO we could fill the Ricoh every home game yet no decent financial backing would be put in place. A point that's been proven over the last 10 years. We've done what you suggested now try my suggestion... a TOTAL 100% boycott.....Oh no! we mustn't do that, My little lad/girl would be very upset if I didn't take them to watch a pile of shit that costs me more than I could take them to watch some Prem teams and top of the Championship teams whilst playing in Division 4.

Exactly my point
it was a break for the norn.
The norn is a continued downward spiral of our club.
The next "united" day out could be the FA Vase
IMO as a fan base we're not doing enough to get Sisu out ie the way Charlton conduct their protests compared to ours.. Imagine the shit storm if a bigger team was to be in our situation? I know its impossible but we need to unite as a club and get them the fuck out haha
and last season.....When our average gate was way over the (14k according to SISU to break even) before they moved the Nick(Goalposts) when getting anything from 14k up to 18k, 17k, and 17.5k... I think Nick might be suffering memory loss.
How do you explain Birmingham then?
I said when was the last times...
The things that brings everybody together is love for CCFC, not hate for anybody else. Make things about CCFC and it will go further.
Fans are united most matchdays, they all put their head in their hands and jump up and cheer at the same times.
The most noticeable protests have been in the ground most certainly. The NOPM again is a lazy protest from people who just cannot be arsed, it would be more respected if they turned up and protested outside the ground then it may make more of an impact
