It's that time again when we make new year resolutions. But the most of us soon break them within a few weeks. But if you could make just one resolution what would it be and hopefully stick to it ? I'm estranged from my eldest son but this new year I'm going to get in touch with him,and hopefully we can spend time together etc.
Anymore but just the one !

My resolutions mostly revolve around fixing things inside and outside the house and garden, I've put off for way too long.
Leaky taps, stuck drawers, chipped paint, dirty carpet, old wallpaper, rotting wood, weeds.
Not that I live in a dump mind you.
Assuming that all that could be magically fixed, I'd promise myself to exercise more and eat healthier.

Gonna try and get fitter, and be a bit more tolerent and patient with my wife and everything she does for her family
We had a bit of a tiff on Christmas Eve as she'd spent a good chunk of the previous 2 days chauffeuring her mum and dad everywhere and although my wife has 2 brothers and a sister they don't really help the parents and her parents rely on her for Everything. She ended up running round like a blue arsed fly for them Christmas Eve night.
So I lost me rag and said I thought her brothers and sister were useless and her parents would be f##ked without her to be honest it was the tip of the iceberg coz I've felt like this for a while.
But apparently I was the one in the wrong
So I'm going to try to take a step back take a breath and count to 10
Or just stick one on her brothers whichever I think is right at the time

I fixed the hand rail the other day as it was a bit wobbly, felt like I was a DIY king. I reckon if you do it bit by bit it's easier through a list, I often look at little bits that need doing and get a bit overwhelmed and think "fuck that"!

Always a bit wary about those and group activities while I am blowing out of my arse. Been to the gym tonight as a warmup and I was doing 5k in about 15 minutes on the cross trainer before but really stuggled to do it in 23 :(

Are you still going to spindles Nick

I've been going up of a morning straight after work for a sauna and a jacuzzi

Might knock it on the head though as I was told the old hall is supposed to have a pool, steam room and sauna
My logic is as it's a brand new place I don't mind paying abit extra coz you know everything will work

Nah not any more. Stopped going because the weights didn't go high enough and it didn't look as if there was any chance of them ever getting any more and circumstances changed so I couldn't go when it was quiet and it was full of bellends at peak times. Once there was a scrawny lad in a hulk vest keep flexing in the mirror after doing the 15 barbell I knew it was time to re-evaluate.

Anyone tried this?

Couch to 5K: tips for new runners - Live Well - NHS Choices

Looks a possible solution for not looking an eejit in public?

For my resolution really ought to be get fit again. Did alright in 2015 in sorting myself out, but a stressful and a half 2016 saw it all go to shit.

Have seen that but really struggle with knees when running :( There's nothing better though than actually seeing an improvement especially with Cardio.

SbitC also do that program for free where you can sign up and play football for free and get fit that way and they check your stats throughout to see how you are doing. Always thought about doing that but again it's the walking into a bunch of strangers when unfit and having to tone the competitiveness and the 2 footers down! :)

Another good one was the pressups when going to the toilet, start off with 10 for a wee and 15 for dropping the boys off. After a couple of weeks add 5, then add 5 more. Does depend on your work place and if you can explain going to your desk out of breath after going to the toilet.

Would a fitness progress thread be any good? It might sound a little bit strange but might help, not in the way of topless selfies but just a little bit of motivation.

Unless Daz does want to post his pics.

I have a couple of people close to me , family members, who are so bloody negative about everything and who just constantly moan when we see each other that one of my new year resolutions is to spend as few minutes in their company as possible this year as they are so draining to be around.
I'm going to be more tolerant and compassionate and just be a nicer person in general

I ain't vaping that much at the moment , well least not in the day stocktake at the moment and I'm just walking round with auditors for the next three days so yeah bit shit and in fact as my pal is away travelling so I have to get it off someone and I don't like fuelling crime man, so not been a lot all round really but hey ho it's not be all and all I can take it as I please
But thanks skyblue1991 as my New Years resolution is to vape more and try to toss more
