It’s the biggest load of shite I’ve ever seen on here

Why on earth would Shipley get £100k of the transfer fee? Don’t the buying club offer the signing on fee?

The comments and arguments make no sense

wasps need our money
We need to be in coventry financially

Why aren’t we playing there?? Just crazy

Because they are scared that the EC decision goes against them and they don't want to foot the bill if it does. CCFC are powerless to do anything about it and SISU couldn't withdraw the case even if they wanted to. So until the case is heard and answered, we're at an impasse.

For the record my mate is on the board, haven't seen for a while but met him today so this is quite on topic:

We renew at St Andrews every 6 games, meaning that we only put the next 6 games on sale in case we return.

Wasps want us back, but we won't move back because of the state of the pitch, whether or not that means the pitch will be sorted out in the summer, meaning we can return I don't know.

As nothing can be done about a pitch mid season, we will not return this seasom, thus putting the rest the season tickets on sale.

Also we've had an offer for Jordan Shipley from Ipswich of 750k of which he gets 100k but the club haven't responded, and I would assume (don't know for certain) wait for better offers/replacements

Tickets for all the remaining home games are now on sale.

It's not his/their fault? Didn't they break the lease to deliberately make us homeless first time around? That twat is the main reason wasps now sit at the ricoh.
They broke the lease because it was unaffordable - Premiership rate. Twats at the council are the main reason we aren’t at the Ricoh, could have been a bit more flexible or even offered us a 250 year lease, Higgs aren’t entirely blameless either. I doubt it takes them long to count their ticket sale related income from wasps.

See I think that’s too passive in feb 19 people were talking in April 19 wasps had a legal agreement from Sisu and ccfc not to take legal action against them knowing about the Eu complaint them something changed.

so wasps drop the indemnity
Ccfc / Sisu confirm the agreement

If it’s not that simple tell us why. Stuff this bollox non disclosure crap.

oggy said the only organisation that can do anything is ccfc on Saturday. What on earth. Clive said the same and Stuart said there is no reason ccfc are playing away from coventry

what a crock of shit

And if the impasse is going to last until the Eu stuff has been resolved then that’s up to 10 years so what then!!!

Then why are Burton tickets for the 25th April on sale online NOW if they are supposedly only selling for the next 6 games because we renew our contract every 6 games?!?! Sounds a bit far fetched to me.

Council will never assist in getting another stadium built (in terms of planning permissions etc). It would be too embarrassing to have a white elephant at arena park if wasps go belly up.

Not sure about oggy but I’m pretty sure the other two are quite anti sisu. Understandable I think most fans are too but things are not quite as black and white as that
Perhaps Oggy has been seduced by the media. Or repeatedly fed a line by them. Brainwashed.

Oggy is highly knowledgeable on football but he isn’t a legal mind, nor are Clive and Stuart. CCFC can’t ‘drop the legals’ and in fact nor can SISU at this point. This genuinely lies with Wasps being afraid that the case has merit.

I for one would prefer to stay at st andrews rather than fund the wasps nests under the terms they are offering. On top of which that pitch is an embarrassment and would only destroy our team. So fuck em get behind the team and go to st Andrews
Youd rather stay out of Coventry to spite a rugby club? Are you for real?
Next time your at st Andrew's go and vent your anger at fisher. He's the main reason they're here.

No tbe reason was to bust acl. We all know the rent was ridiculously high. The club were offered a sliding rent scale werent they? That they rejected. Yes we know later on the club went back to the council to ask for a reduction and were told to go away. Well they would wouldn't they as they needed the high rent to pay off the loan.
Always someone else's fault isn't it?
We're going around in circles here.

But Council have to approve it, so surely would be easier if Council would say if/where it is possible. For all we know, they may not approve anywhere new. Give us some possibilities.

You want the council to assess every possible site in Coventry? With every possible variation of stadium that could be built? Should all other planning apps be put on hold for the decades that would take?

Sisu need to buy land and put a proposal in. The council can help find land (assuming it’s there) and give advice on planning on a site, but so can any capable land agent.

No one disagrees that the rent was too high. Arguably that’s why Wasps coming would’ve helped not hindered, we couldn’t afford what the council needed on our own. We didn’t have to break the lease at all. We could have started building our own ground and by now we’d have lost less in rent than we have in lost revenue and legals costs.

Our owners thought they’d be clever and have the council over a barrel, completely misjudging the situation and possibly now leaving us outside the city for years while the legals continue.

No one is under an obligation to give us what we want because we are CCFC. Basic business rules still apply.

His actions back then have put us where we are today or have people conveniently forgotten the past? That man is scum.
I don’t think people have no but blindly ranting about individuals and historic decisions they no one can change is pointless. It’s one of the main reasons progress can’t be made. What do you think tim fisher can do now!?

It’s such a difficult balance to focus on the football and hold on to two realities

we should be playing in coventry
The only way we can do this for the foreseeable future is at the Ricoh

No obligation but other councils have been much more supportive of other football clubs haven’t they?

And other football clubs aren’t trying to distress a council business or briefing against them in the press or...

It works both ways. That’s business. Relationships matter.

I get that nothing can be changed now but certain posters continuously ranting on about wasps seem to be blind to why they're actually in our city in the first place.I don't think that should be forgotten about.

That is less than we were paying for the Ricoh first time around.

Even if we assume static crowds compared to last year we are 6k down. Times 22 games at about £10/ticket revenue. That’s £1.3m lost before we talk about fans who don’t come back and extra revenue like food and programmes. At Sixfields it was more and this season we’d likely have bigger crowd. Even if St Andrews were rent free we’d be down on staying at the Ricoh.

Agree about the terms, they need to drop the indemnity demand but other than that we should be actively pursuing a return. Not going to happen this year but it really needs to happen next, I'm fearful of what will happen otherwise.
