Cole----Sordell---Jones
an opinion dear boy, please note its the point of forums for idiots like me to have a platform and for intellects like yourself to come back at me with your wisdom. Anyhow off back to the fucking sea. We've got one. He's won 6 of his 10 games in charge. We lost 1-0' at home to the best side in the league and we need a new manager, get in the fucking sea mate.
Don't you think Scouts would be clever enough to realise? They will also see his one dimension and no end product. It's not a car they are warming up before somebody comes to have a look.
Maybe, he is brought on when they are tired because he is more effective then?
Madness

Hahahaha, fucking mental.
Does it take practice to become a obnoxious twat? or does it come naturally to you?
They're not wingers as such if you play a 4-3-2-1 formation, which is what I was thinking. Cole would do more running in 1 game than Wright and Agyei do all season.Joe Cole on the wing.

HA.

Tbf, that's when he was in his 20's and had thr legs to do it. He's what 35 now? He just hasn't got the legs to play there, he looked at his best for us when we played him central and in a deeper role with licence to get forward when he wanted to. He could do a job in our central 3 but he would struggle as a winger.Style of play
A clever, versatile, and technically gifted midfielder, Cole is capable of playing in several offensive midfield positions, as an attacking midfielder, winger or supporting striker.[111][112] A quick, strong and creative player, Cole is known in particular for his dribbling skills, and is capable of both scoring and creating goals due to his vision, passing and striking ability.
Ooohhhhh!!!! What does that say again? Does it say winger?, Nah! surely not, Wait a minute...Yes! it does!

You've got that from Wikipedia. He played on the wing in his twenties.
He was here last season, did you actually watch him? He can't beat a man anymore, he's slow as shit and in all honesty, he's just not very good.

Maybe they did, that's why he is 18 and with the aim to developSame reply to you then Nick.... Pity our scout wasn't quick enough to spot it then eh

I think Reid would be more effective than Jones cutting in from the right. We should switch them about during the game.Whilst I agree he was brought in with the view to develop and sell, I don't believe we are only bringing him on the last 20 minutes to make him look good in order to sell. The truth is he's not ready to play week in week out from the start. Even at Dagenham and Redbridge he was mainly used as a sub. If he was producing the goods he'd be starting most weeks.
Quick players will always be more effective against tiring defenders, we even saw this with Murphy last season, he'd be poor/anonymous for 70 mins then be unplayable last 20.
Jones just lacks a brain and a right foot. Nothing wrong with playing inverted wingers but they have to mix up play and go around the outside at times too. He only does one thing and that makes him predictable. We played right footed Murphy on the left and he would go either way. This and the final ball and decision making is what Jones needs to develop in order to command a starting berth.

Sheffers has the measure of us..
Gary McSheffrey has had his say on the game so far. The City legend and former Scunthorpe player is here doing radio work. This is what he had to say about the first half: “I think Scunthorpe started well and missed really good chance from Madden when Burgey made a great save. Coventry then started to dominate possession - all in the middle third again - and they’ve ground Scunthorpe down a bit.
“I just get a bit concerned for Coventry because they grind it down and have good possession in midfield and then there’s never really that threat in behind though. Sordell has just started to do that towards the end of the first half and I’d like to see him play down the middle because I think he can be a huge threat. He drifts into the area and has got two good feet to get shots off.
“There has been two or three really good balls into the box but no-one really to get on the end of it, no-one gambles.
“The ball has rolled across the six-yard lie and it’s crying out for a fox in the box, if you like, someone like a Cody McDonald of old to get a few tap-ins because I think they are playing well until they get into the box and then don’t seem much of a goal scoring threat.

What the bit about Cody Mcdonald :'(You'll regret posting that

Tbf, he didn't say we missed Cody per se, but more so someone who likes to feed on scraps in the box like Cody or billy sharp or even a Dominic Samuel. I would say i don't think any can argue Cody was very very poor for us...What the bit about Cody Mcdonald :'(

Yeah, he is. I thought Jorgensen was pretty good when summing up yesterday too.Gary Mcsheffrey has been on CWR a few times and he's a very good analyst.
Yep, agree. Constructive and insightful and seemingly sees the same way I see the game anyway.Gary Mcsheffrey has been on CWR a few times and he's a very good analyst.
Yes. The two wide strikers don't attack the box from crosses from the other side, really really odd for strikers. Also one of the central midfielder should be looking get around the penalty box.Sheffers has the measure of us..

Talks a lot of sense.

That could be any City team since I started watching us, including several with McSheffrey in.
Looks like Lampards available scored 15 Goals for New York.Bring back joe cole
Well with his speed we could play running goalie.Usain Bolt is retiring from sprinting and looking to play football. He's going over to train with Borussia Dortmund. Could we sneak in?
Only snag is that he's a goalie.
