Couldn’t agree more !!It does appear that off topic threads are getting beyond absurd in arguments and counter arguments with an awful lot of accusations.
I think a lot of this is done by posters who are deliberately being provavtune and putting a politics agenda before football
I accept in the summer months this is likely to escalate but posters like @Ring Of Steel and @skybluetony176 along with others are clearly not interested in the primary objective - talking about football and specifically Coventry City.
I think it would be entirely reasonable once the season starts to assess who is contributing more to the primary purpose - CCFC - and who has other agendas.
A moderator could assess contributions over say a month and decide if posters are truly interested in the primary purpose of the site and if not to be blocked from posting.
I think this would create less confrontation and more harmony
Move this thread to off topic
The main issue is how it is policed statistically and factually without it being easy to get around.
This. Or make it an area of the forum that’s private and you have to request access to.Or just close off topic. There are certain posters you'd never see again and I'm not sure what we're gaining in having an off topic atm other than people getting themselves all wound up.

I can do it. I’ll make an analysis of ratio posts and publish it so we can decide if the football contribution is an acceptable percentage
I can do it with simple maths but it is really easy to bypass with shit, non productive posts.

My sides are splitting at your edginess, Grendel. At least you logged out and logged into a different account before replying, this time. And I'm sure you'll cheer along from the sidelines as usual.

This is a good startAlso, I am sorting it so people can opt out of seeing Off Topic if they want
51% has to be football surely, especially when the season starts this should be pretty standard forum behaviour.OK so what sort of ratio?

Hang on, so we're deciding if something is appropriate by how much somebody posts about CCFC, not if it's downright racist falsehoods set to mislead and fabricate for a dubious agenda...?

Never gets old.
Sorry, but it is precisely THIS sort of shitty school playground sniping in pretty much EVERY thread that needs to be blocked. Off Topic Chat is clearly marked as such, and it is a place for people with a common interest (i.e. City fans) to have a chat about anything and everything, like you would down the pub. Sometimes people step out of line with their views and that can develop into an argument which can derail a thread. But that is expressing a difference of opinion, not bullying or sniping at someone you have a weird obsession with because of something they posted three years ago, which is entirely unnecessary and needs to stop. Why don’t you remain on the super hip forum you’ve just joined?
You're a bit of a c**t. Count that as a football post eh.Could do it by cowardly shit stirring if you want?

You been watching those Andrew Tate videos too?Wow, somebody grew a little bit of a spine didn't they?
You had better round some people up to tell them all about it and shit stir.

You know if lots of people are calling some5thing racist instead of hiding behind excuse an insults, maybe consider that it might just be.
Absolutely. My minor point is that some people post off-topic subject matter on the football page. I think this is often accidental. I guess they could be moved over to the correct forum? Or closed/ deleted if needed.Sorry, but it is precisely THIS sort of shitty school playground sniping in pretty much EVERY thread that needs to be blocked.
