While SISU are doing a great job at the helm of CCFC...

more worrying is the damage that has been done to our fanbase since relegation over a decade ago to the Championship.

With the on-going issues with the bastards in charge and the inevitable relegation to L1, I really fear we will have a big gap to fill in our fan base.

Over the last 10 years being out of the Premiership and doing sweet FA in the Championship has led to a generation of kids not supporting CCFC but moving to the other Midlands clubs esp Villa. We live in a society where people love fame and success, and kids growing up now won't be interested in a club doing nothing. It is exciting and the lure of the premiership means we lose young supporters to them.

The whole current compounded effect of SISU and relegation football we play is a real danger. A drop to L1 and lack of success could potentially see the very end of CCFC as a supporter base?

Unless we get millions pumped into the club and storm back to the Premiership one day, I feel we have entered a real tough time for CCFC attracting new fans.

Lots on here are blaming AT for the last 6 years as he did not spot Messi, Ronaldo and them sort of players. It is also his fault as he can't turn water into wine.

Football is being destroyed from the top, nowadays its something on the tele - the players are more like pop stars, and have no connection to the people they expect to support them every week. Clubs are not interested in local people, they are interested in Sky and sponership deals.

No wonder kids are interested.

The rot started long before we were relegated. Overspending, employing the likes of Shaw & Williams and not having a huge fan base to start with is why we find ourselves in this current situation. The club hasn't been active in the community to try and lure the young generations. I'm in my mid 20's and I've only got a few city supporting friends. I can't give away tickets at the minute. I'm not sure if it's a case of just not being bothered or just years of nothingness (possibly a bit of both). More needs to be done, it's as simple as that.

Success breeds success. I know it's a long time ago but prior to Jimmy Hill's arrival we were a lowly third division team lucky to get much more than 7000 for home games. We were competeing with the all conquering Wolves and other top division teams such as Villa, Albion, Leicester and Birmingham and you could go down to Pool Meadow on a Saturday and catch a coach to various local matches. Within 6 months we were getting gates of 25000 and away support of 5000.
