Admission That The Only Loans We Will Get Are Those That No One Else Wants (1 Viewer)

AT said "I am interested in a couple of others but once competition comes in you are blown out of the water by wealthier clubs" - wealthier clubs like Barnsley who outbid us over Drinkwater! I can accept that we will struggle to outbid teams such as Forest, Southampton, Ipswich, Fester but when we cannot even compete with sides like Barnsley then you know we are in deep do do and all the promises of loan players were just more SISU bullshit or did Igwe think we would get quality Premiership players for free and no one else would want them? Obviously it wasn't a lie just another miscommunication.

Also is AT's revelation of the Drinkwater situation an indication that he's getting frustrated with the lack of any backing?

I never thought we would bring anyone in - we're quite clearly skint. I'm sure that we brought in Cody because he was the cheaper upfront payment than Le fondre.

we will probly find out in january the only reason we got cody was because we agreed to let norwich have first refusal on Jukebox:jerkit::jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:

I've noticed a few comments being removed off the telegraph site. They don't apear to like people accusing sisu of lieing, which they clearly are doing.

It's because it's against the law to have accusations of lying on their website.

It was very naive of the board to expect that quality loan signings from the premier league would not be in demand at all to other clubs in our league.

I'm assuming that bottom line is tongue in cheek Sutty

Naive - thats a very generous way of putting it. Of course they knew, they may be many things but they're not stupid, might treat us as if we are all stupid but they are shrewd operators who have no interest in what goes on on the pitch. They will no doubt claim that they have tried but the other club made outrageous demands or the players head was turned by someone else etc etc but the up shot will be we will get no one who would make a jot of difference. Whilst I would love to think we could get say Danny Rose from Spurs or Michael Johnson from Man City who could make a difference but these just won't happen.

The same happened to me a while ago when I posted a comment about Igwe's statement, basically saying it was a load of old tosh.

The comments were removed from the telegraph site.

It had an amusing irony to it, seeing as though I was deemed acceptable enough to be a Community Moderator on their site until it shut down

Wonder how this all fits in with the conspiracy theory that Hoff was getting the CT to only run pro-Hoff stories due to his role on the Mirror Trinity board?

Just read between the lines :D

But do remember it was the board that promised premier league loans, they are the ones that have consistently made promises that they have little to no chance of fulfilling. SISU have never to the best of my knowledge made promises to the CCFC fans, they leave all of that to the board.

Yes, SISU may not be contributing the funds we all want, but the board are making the situation infinitely worse for us all by making these realistic-sounding promises that have no basis in reality. If only they'd for once come out and say what we all know, 'WE HAVE NO MONEY'.

Sutty - whilst the distinction between the board and SISU is a fact SISU have direct representation on the board and it was this joker who actually spouted clap trap about prem loan signings etc. Whilst technically the board of SBS&L run the club it would be naive in the extreme to think SISU have no direct influence over their appointment or their plan for the running of the club.

Agreed. Like I say, I just wish they'd tell us we have no money to spend. I'd imagine if the fans knew the financial situation they might accept the situation to an extent.

Obviously we don't know how much sway SISU have over the messages the board send out, but yes, you'd expect they have some influence. And it wasn't just Igwe I don't think that made these comments. Dulieu for one said it live on CWR before one game.

My overall message I suppose is that if SISU don't have the money, the board should be communicting that, but we have no idea whether SISU are preventing them from saying that.

I think the problem is that they have fed the fans so much crap over the past few years and months about same budgets, loan players, not accepting offers etc that no one believes anything they say any more. No one really knows the financial situation, no one knows who owns us and whether these people have the sort of money that could make a difference - I don't want to hear any more from Kenny, Igwe or Clouting unless its to announce that so and so has actually signed - not we are talking to, looking at or has agreed - just announce it when its a done deal otherwise shut the f*** up as anything else you had to say would only be smoke and mirrors anyway.

Persoanlly was not expecting any wonderful loan signings as the fact that we brought in very little spoke for itself in my humble opinion! I think we all need to come to the reality that we are not going to bring in anyone of any quality and we have to do with what we have. If that takes us down (which i think it will) so be it.

If you listen to AT's interview after the Blackpool game he said "Their equalizer was a joke but I don't have enough money to sort that problem out so I'd best not say anything about it." Seems to me that AT is getting annoyed at least as much as we are with SISU's lies.

I'm just waiting for Igwe to make another statement along the lines of "Our communication with the fans needs to be better. We are doing great things behind the scenes that fans don't know about."

Oh yeah, Onye. What exactly have you done that is so wonderful and we don't know about??:censored:

I thought he meant the equaliser wad a joke because of the referee's decision not to award a freekick for a foul on the goalkeeper, but that he didn't have enough money to pay a fine for publically slating the ref. I may have got it wrong....

AT meant that he didn't have money to criticise the referee, so he was going to bite his tongue. It is well established we are skint, it was a tongue-in-cheek comment not a subtle indication Thorny is desperately unhappy with his lot.

Sammy put the ball out when he could have shielded for a goal kick ,think he was attempting to stick it in touch but sliced it

And a good one too, Moff! If they don't want people saying their opinions, then they shouldn't have a forum! Oh, wait...

Tis all very sad that we now can't compete with Barnsley and see them as a wealthy club.

Think to us a club with a quid seems to be quite wealthy. Begs the question I suppose why we didn't accept Hoffman's pound bid though doesn't it.

Astute

Maybe SISU thought a quid was a lot of cash and thought Hoff couldn't raise that much

Even though the Hoff showed them the paperwork for the 'cheap' payday loan from Wonga.com?

AT meant he didn't have enough money to pay the inevitable fine for saying what he would have liked to about the ref's performance - yes?
Not that he didn't have enough money from the Board to Loan Players. He is obviously sitting on a pile of cash but stubbornly refusing to go in for players, instead narrow mindedly sticking to his forlorn principles of flogging the kids to death and breaking their hearts by consigning them to a year of struggle so soon into their young and now likely prematurely doomed careers. Come on Andy, see sense, release that SISU warchest before it's too late.

Ewww.

It's very subtle implied criticism by AT..."once other clubs come in (erm..even Barnsley)..they blow us out of the water".

Not anything that the board would even pick up on, really. He's been very smart in all of his interviews-he knows he can't have a pop at his bosses, but he's got the message out to the fans that we can't compete with any clubs in our division for players-so draw your own conclusions, it's fairly simple. And if you do that, you quickly realise that by proxy SISU are funding a L1 squad.

That we may avoid having to play there is almost entirely down to a bloke who IMO is our only decent manager since relegation other than Eric Black. I just pray that things end better for him here than they did for Black, but I wouldn't bet on it.
