I assume this is a joke? The fact that he has served his whole broadcasting career on a third rate channel says it all. Durham is a third rate Jon Gaunt - a pitiful waste of space who tries to create a debate when no-one is interested in a word he says.

Anyone sense a twinge of irony here :)

As much as it would never happen these days.

It is a shame now that in sport you are viewed as an idiot if you follow the principles of Fair play

It isn't that he follows the principles of fair play that he's an idiot, its all the other moments of non fair play that also happen in the game that he fails to mention. Whys that? because those moments went against us, not HIS club.

It is the Sunday sport equivalent of sports broadcasting. It appeals to a very low demographic which I assume is why you like it and I don't.

You've not got many friends in 'real life' have you mate

You're just wrong on so many levels you cretin

Would have to agree with grendel about It being the sunday sport of radio. It is radio for the loaded magazine generation, 10years too late.
It used to be half decent. Human zoo, Ian Collins, Mike Dicken etc.
Now it is about who can shout the loudest.

Mike Dicken was a legend. So far ahead of his time. I remember him destroying Geoff Hoon once, he put the so called defence minister completely in his place. Rest In Peace Mike.

Heard that Steve Bruce was annoyed that the Fulham manager held onto the ball instead of returning it at a throw in.
It was described by the commentator as unsporting and ungentleman like.
Durham scoffed and said why would he help Fulham? Agreeing with actions of the Fulham manager.

You can pinpoint little soundbytes like this one, but from listening to hundreds of Durhams shows and interviews, and reading his articles I can say he is a fair and understanding broadcaster. That's not to say he doesn't have strong opinions which he has no qualms about voicing (as all good broadcasters and journos in that industry do) If you feel his show is too lowbrow (not that it is) for you don't assume all shows on Talksport of the same nature, Alan Brazil, Keys and Gray, Hawksbee and Jacobs (Best on the radio imo), Danny Kelly, Mark Saggers and Goldstein and Cundy are all worth a listen. They've even got Mike Parry and Mike Graham teamed up again on late nights

Would not have heard the sound bite if it was too low brow.

Just shows what he said he did not really believe

It just pissed him off because his team lost.
