Despite the results, I've not had one compulsion to travel to feckin Northampton on a Sunday. It all feels a bit detached and surreal now which is worrying. Those fans that didn't bother much even in Cov just won't come back after this debacle. Every week kills the club a little bit more and especially disenfranchises the younger fans who will grow up wanting to support some team in the Prem !!

had to laugh on the guy being interviewed on CWR yesterday.. he sounded like a reasoned guy , said everyone was entitled to do what they felt was right.. but that he felt it was right to come over and support the team & be there for them ( fair enough i thought ).. then he was asked if he had a season ticket & he said no i will just pick & choose which games he comes to this season ( err.. ok so you'll be there for the team .. when you fancy it.. ok still fair enough i thought ) .. then he was asked if the current form of the team was having an influence on people deciding to go.. and he said " oh yeah im sure it has.. i mean if we start losing games or the goals dry up then i dont think id come then"

hahahahahahaha.. so you feel its only right to go & 'support the lads' .. but you only going to go when you fancy it & as long as they keep winning.

im believe people should do what THEY want to do .. but be honest, dont try and make out your doing something 'for the team'..

To be fair, as much as I support it, NOPM will do more damage to the club, may even drive it to liquidation meaning we have to start again. I'm starting to consider whether it is really the right thing to do. We cannot moan if the club goes out of existence due to the actions we are taking.

Are you calling Timothy a liar?

He said they can cover all losses for up to 5 years whilst they get a stadium built. All we can do as fans is put pressure on SISU meeting with ACL. ACL are willing to meet. SISU don't want to talk with the people that can make the decisions. The Northampton chairman has said there is a 12 month notice clause. This money would be raised after 2 games at the Ricoh. If ACL were at fault after meeting them SISU would soon let us know.

So do you think SISU would liquidate our club and lose all the money they have put in so far? If they did it would be through spite or not wanting to show that they were wrong in the way they have gone about things and not willing to do an about turn. SISU threatened to liquidate us. ACL then went to put us into admin. They soon changed their tune and put us into admin so they could have Appleton.

Also, if they tried liquidating us it would have to be as a whole club and not just a section that they have only left the parts they don't want. Then bidders would know what they would be getting and not just buying the debts.

Genuine question! How does the £24,000 from 1500 supporters paying £16 every other week help to keep CCFC in Northampton?

Some of you still aren’t getting it.

The £24,000 per game or even £0.5m per season may not make much of a difference to SISU, in fact it’s not a million miles from some of the attendances that teams in our league get. The point is that the authorities who run the game have not given us any respect or showed any sympathy. We need to put pressure on them and the only way we can really do that is by not going at all. They will have to sit up and notice if the ground is completely empty and by returning when we are winning, they will assume our acceptance of the situation which is exactly what Fisher wants.

We need those numbers down and not up – particularly when we start winning games, otherwise our demonstration looks even more hollow and the sympathy from other teams and the wider footballing family will also evaporate completely.

Who is james Smith and why is he editing posts? I can't see any changes either??? Very odd. Apologies if this has been asked before, but I've not been contributing much lately.

In fact top add to my previous post, it pains me too. It kills me to stay away when my team are playing and I can't do the thing that I love most outside of my family, but I do it becasue I know it's the right thing to do. Like a drug I'm still on here, I still listen to the games and read the reports and hope the team wins of course but going to Northampton is accepting and that is something I will never be prepared or ready to do.

Fisher said fans would accept and return after a few games..
1500 is the fan base now may go up and down a bit but I think for it to go up anywhere near a 1000 is a big ask. If Fisher was relying on fans returning in droves he is deluded.

Big crowds were never going to happen. It may be nominated as a home game but it is 34 miles away from Coventry. 1,500 fans for away games is quite good for Div 3. Add on to all of us that won't go because it is so wrong where we are playing and it is an excellent amount.

I suspect he said the crowds will rush back for the sake of posturing rather than actually believing or predicting it. It made for a nice soundbite that could be quoted.

A bit like Boothroyd saying Lucas would be sneaking back in disguise, in fact...

It makes me want to scream that not everybody else can see this. I feel I'm living in a parallel universe when I'm reading posts on here by people trying to justify why they are going to Sixfields.

TF was banking upon precisely this. "Three games" a carefully thought out number...the point at which we are most likely missing it...& itching. That is the point he's encouraged us to reconsider by his comments!

Wow

£24k at Sixfields instead of £200k at the Ricoh.

2 million in lost revenue from ticket sales a year.

How much do you think we have lost in merchandise and sponsorship.

Massive decision by Joy Seppela
