I just don’t want 3 midfielders who can’t switch from defence to attack, that’s all. Sheaf’s job is to mop up and stop the opposition, Eccles does a bit of everything (to some extent) and Browne is similar. I know you love singling me out for liking “exotic” players but it’s just that I don’t want a dull, beige midfield that never creates changes or scored goals.

I don’t want us to be stuck in another JDS/Lati/Kitching situation where we sign so called decent British players on 3 year contracts only to realise we’re stuck with them after a season of underperforming. Maybe Browne will be amazing but my personal opinion is I think we can do better, let’s look for another Stamenic rather than signing a rival team’s 29 year old.

Whilst we are assembling a great football team we do seem to lack some bite and shithousery which Browne has in abundance. Not to mention his footballing ability is easily top end championship.

Not all signings have to be 22 from abroad with a potential to be sold for more. Bizarre that if it was a name we hadn’t heard before, everybody would be all over it.
