Alan Higgs Charity Slams SISU over legal costs (1 Viewer)

And rightly so to! It's beyond belief that a charity will have to folk out costs due to our pathetic owners legal battle with the council.

It is estimated Sisu’s ongoing pursuit of legal reviews into loans made by the council to ACL has already cost well in excess of £1million.

:jerkit:

Sisu’s new judicial review application questions altered loan terms as part of the Wasps deal.
But it is on hold until after the ongoing appeal – which means the dispute could still take years to reach a full conclusion.

Years? Years more of this??? Fuck that I'm out!

Wake me up when they've gone.

Not sure how AH are not involved in this whole debarcle? They were actively involved in the sale of ACL surely?

Sorry the 'ahhh poor little charity' is no longer working...

So we're back to giving a fuck about the children's charity again. Funny how no-one gave a fuck last October.

............ and meanwhile a few more fans loose interest and find something else to do

And yet somehow they always find their way back and keep arguing.

Don't remember calling them wankers..

When they stepped in to help out the club they got something for their money remember, it's not like they gave the club the money for free.

They chose to decline the club's offer for a 50% share. They chose to sell to Wasps... for less than they were previously offered.

And before you wheel out the conditons line... if we are going to play the 'children's charity' card.. then the offer that got more money was the only one to pick.

And we know that wasn't Wasps.

Why are we taking about this? They are in the past.

Thought we need just to look forwards don't we?

For me the Children's Charity come before the club and its owner.

I agree, they came in to help the Club when they need it and then SISU come riding into town on a horse like the wild west bandits which they are and then proceed in literally horse whipping the Higgs charity.

How exactly were they "horse whipped" ? They seem to have recovered quickly with their big AEH sign behind the goal

I didn't realise the temperance movement was still going.

No, but charities, particularly Childrens charities as everybody bangs on about, tend to keep away from investing in anything connected to alcohol, gambling, pornography, tobacco etc.

Most problems that Childrens charities deal with stem from alcohol and gambling problems, so raising money to deal with these problems by making money from them not the most ethical.

Reading the article I'm not really clear from Higgs statement how they are claiming to have been in no way involved in the sale of ACL to Wasps. I would have thought SISU were absolutely right to says Higgs were an interested party in the sale given they owned 50% of ACL.

Its a sad thing that our owners are still suing any one. Their would be no need for any of this if they had acted honourably towards all sides in the first place when negotiations originally took place. They are now carrying on out of pure malice to financial burden as many of the protagonists as possible, its costing them nothing as they lay all the debt on the club. The people who are going to be effected in the long run are the tax payers of Coventry and people who would benefit from a charitys intervention. Its the shame the football league cant intervene and relinquish the right of the golden share due to miss management, but then the football league are good for fuck all. We all continue to suffer because of the incompetency's of a hedge fund in managing a real business, the sooner some one smashes them to pieces the sooner we will all feel better.

Only they've been named in the new case SISU want to lodge as an interested party so its not in the past is it. It's ongoing. If you've read the article it also points out that they weren't involved in the restructuring of the loan to Wasps so have written to SISU to have JR2 amended so Higgs aren't listed as an interested party but guess what, no reply. So they've gone public.

They they started dicking around when it came to buying there 50% share as was agreed by SISU during the club takeover.

But NO they did not want to pay for it instead started to get guns out and attempted to take them hostage and threating with rent sanctions.

Nice to see we have another thread where the usual brigade come on where the blame is being placed anywhere but Sisu/Otium. Pathetic really but just about sums some of you up, together with your sycophantic little likes to each other like a little bunch of playground bullies. I'll wait for the the predictable responses and then listen to the cowardly little caveats you put in about Sisu are to blame too but then go on to blame everyone else.
