I'm not sure you can boycott now when we need a deal from them and if we were to approach them now and threaten to boycott in the future unless they gave us a deal, kind of comes across as blackmail.Would be a bit late then.
As liquid gold has said, it's about the showing of the teeth of it.
I'm not sure you can boycott now when we need a deal from them and if we were to approach them now and threaten to boycott in the future unless they gave us a deal, kind of comes across as blackmail.

How does what they are doing come across?I'm not sure you can boycott now when we need a deal from them and if we were to approach them now and threaten to boycott in the future unless they gave us a deal, kind of comes across as blackmail.
Not blackmail. How does what they are doing come across?
So drop the legals against the council and we will do a deal isn't but do a deal else city fans will give you a headache isn't?Not blackmail.
Wasps need the council onboard I think. They see them as some kind of allies at the moment. I think that is why they are toeing the line they are toeing.
Not blackmail.

Yeah, when the trust are going to the national media to say how great an event one of their first games was. I can't see it happening. What I would like to know, following Specs' post is, how many City fans also attend Wasps.
I think there could be a lot of pressure there if Wasps ST holders, who are also City fans said they would give up going if the Sky Blues are found to be homeless.
Big difference to my mind, if Wasps are just wanting to keep the council sweet. That is not of their own volition and they would be just taking onboard the advice from elsewhere. So drop the legals against the council and we will do a deal isn't but do a deal else city fans will give you a headache isn't?
That's exactly why wasps and the council piss themselves.
Big difference to my mind, if Wasps are just wanting to keep the council sweet. That is not of their own volition and they would be just taking onboard the advice from elsewhere.
I am of course just guessing their reasoning, but that seems to be the only reasoning possible doesn't it? That the council have advised Wasps not to deal with Sisu whilst the legals are going on.
That's not just Wasps doing so off their own back, that is with pressure from the council, whom they wish to keep onboard.
Quite clear difference to me.
The council and Sisu are the two main players here.
I am saying one is different, because it is a kind of forced upon them stance.Drop the legals or we won’t do a deal. Do a deal or we won’t buy tickets for your games. How are they different? They are both ultimatums.
Isn't that what you think? There is no other reason for Wasps stance is there? So wasps are being blackmailed by the council to blackmail us?
I am saying one is different, because it is a kind of forced upon them stance.
If there is blackmail it is from the council. If Wasps have development plans they need the council on side.
As the legal row goes on, it probably stops them signing much needed sponsorship contracts.Isn't that what you think? There is no other reason for Wasps stance is there?
In what way? People won't sponsor them because of legal action against the council? As the legal row goes on, it probably stops them signing much needed sponsorship contracts.
Yeah, fair point, that.As the legal row goes on, it probably stops them signing much needed sponsorship contracts.
It should be full throttle boycott anyway. How anybody could have the audacity to whine about SISU but embrace Eastwood and co is beyond meIf we are kicked out it should be full throttle on trying to get people to boycott Wasps games and for us all to protest.
Because it involves the Ricoh I presume. In what way? People won't sponsor them because of legal action against the council?
While there's doubt over what happens with the stadium, would you sign a long-term deal to sponsor it?In what way? People won't sponsor them because of legal action against the council?
Nope. Same here. While there's doubt over what happens with the stadium, would you sign a long-term deal to sponsor it?
I wouldn't!
Surely the only doubt is if we are there or not? That's only the naming rights of it.While there's doubt over what happens with the stadium, would you sign a long-term deal to sponsor it?
I wouldn't!
No, I agree. I just cannot see people getting off their backsides and doing so until we are homeless though. It should be full throttle boycott anyway. How anybody could have the audacity to whine about SISU but embrace Eastwood and co is beyond me
Which comes back to the point that everybody gets fired up about sisu by the media and fans groups and ignores everybody else. No, I agree. I just cannot see people getting off their backsides and doing so until we are homeless though.
Yes, but I do think many believe Wasps hold the cards and don't want to piss them off.Which comes back to the point that everybody gets fired up about sisu by the media and fans groups and ignores everybody else.
Surely even worse to let them and the civil l council do whatever?Yes, but I do think many believe Wasps hold the cards and don't want to pass them off.
As I keep saying, it's Sisu and the council that need to be the main targets.Surely even worse to let them and the civil l council do whatever?
Why?As I keep saying, it's Sisu and the council that need to be the main targets.
Goes two ways .It should be full throttle boycott anyway. How anybody could have the audacity to whine about SISU but embrace Eastwood and co is beyond me
CJ has already said he is totally opposed to the idea of boycotting Wasps
Can the Trust fund a simple survey of CCFC fans.
Q. Have you attend a Wasps game (Y/N)
Q. If yes, in the event that Wasps do not give CCFC a deal to remain at the Ricoh will you continue to attend any further Wasps games
We need a way to highlight to them the potential damage that they may cause not only ACL due to lack of revenues, but also Wasps due to fans that shun them as a result. Maybe the outcome of such survey would show negligible numbers, however it may help focus Wasps minds on the commercial impact of their decision. Money talks, bullshit walks and all that...
