ALL BETS ARE OFF - How To Lose Money Following CCFC (1 Viewer)

Enough is enough.

My OAP pension will now not let me blindly follow CCFC, as I used to, in betting on results and scorelines.

One bet with a mate was for me to pay out £10 for every loss and him to pay out £10 for every win ie if season ended with 19 losses and 14 wins (2010/2011 season) I would lose £50 (19 minus 14 = 5 x £10)

I had this bet for several years - just look at my performance:

Season
04/05 - £50 lost
05/06 - £20 lost
06/07 - £60 lost
07/08 - £70 lost
08/09 - £50 lost
09/10 - £50 lost
10/11 - £50 lost

TOTAL LOST £350

Another (silly) bet was for all home league games - three chances to win eg: £2 to win 3-0, £2 to win 3-1 and £2 to win 3-2

Record to date:

Season
06/07 - 2 correct scores in 23 home games
07/08 - 3/23
08/09 - 0/23
09/10 - 2/23
10/11 - 1/23

TOTAL LOST £370

Just as an aside trawling through previous seasons results we have only scored 3 or more goals at home during the last three seasons four times (the above plus a 4-1 in 08/09) that's 4 times in 69 games - pathetic.

So that's £700 lost in just two silly bets plus numerous others on one offs BUT no more, it has to end; my blind betting loyalty to CCFC has now ceased.

Although I might put a Tenner on City to win at Millwall tonight ............................

Generally, as a rule I leave Cov out of any football betting I do as heart seems to rule the head.

I will have a cheeky first goal scorer bet when at the match/watching them on TV.

The only time I will back a match involving Cov is when I feel the bookies have priced them wrong and then it seems I am usually backing us to lose.

always bet agaonst cov !!

simple as that !!!

Cant lose

If Cov lose, you get compensation, if they win, who cares about the money !!

That £350 would have paid for a season ticket, so that cant be bad.

My favourite bet against Cov used to be winning at half time then to lose. Minimum 25/1. Happens a few times a season at least. Gives a good profit most seasons.

You can talk - I am miles better than you at forecasting; see the Prediction Ranking, so there - (see you in the Club tonight).

My mates name was Lionel Ladbroke (it might just as well have been)

Yep, that is my favourite too. always worth 2 or 3 quid a game. :)

Thank goodness I packed my silly bets in after last season - I would now be £50 down after just 15 games which sums up our season big time.
