Got up early this morning loved watching root and stokes this morning
It’s been superb and shut the doubters up that he cannot play of eastern pitches. Loving it’s been on channel 4 and been superb test cricketWhat an over by Anderson earlier!
Brilliant win. One of the most dominant I can remember against a top team. Need to win the series now or it won't mean anything.
It's a great win against a side that's just won in Australia with key players missing.Brilliant win. One of the most dominant I can remember against a top team. Need to win the series now or it won't mean anything.
The ultimate I can remember and remains my favourite was the 10/11 Ashes. India will surely improve but this is a hell of a start.
Very clever enjoyable mornings cricket - no mistakes and a great result - the toss was critical and with Root continuing to find his mojo - I love the no ball siren
You could see them overstepping - on purpose ? No surely notThe amount of no balls from India, particularly the spinners, was incredible. If I was more cynical I would say it was a suspicious amount.
The klaxon every time they did it was a bit bizarre. The amount of no balls from India, particularly the spinners, was incredible. If I was more cynical I would say it was a suspicious amount.

Just to slow it down ? Didn’t do them much goodIt's happened before!
I like the plan and think we should stick to it. Especially if it means Anderson can play for a couple more yearsBe a tough call to bring Broad back in for Jimmy now

I just read that Ashwin had never bowled a no ball in test cricket before this test (20,000 odd deliveries). He bowled 5 in this test match.I'm talking about spot fixing!

Very few masks either50% of the crowd in Chennai

Chennai beach was packed last Test, so I did wonder why there was no one at the ground. The former I fear
He is defo underrated, he's a bit slingy but pretty consistent and batsmen aren't used to facing him.Desperately need a wicket here. Resorting to Root bowling himself.
Do think he's a bit underrated as a bowler, the downside of central contracts and so much international cricket is he can't get overs in at county level to develop that side of his game.
Posted in the covid thread but basically they've been gradually opening up for weeks now. Changes in rules came too late for them to sort out the logistical side for the 1st test. The region has a population size virtually identical to the UK but cases are under 500 a day and deaths in single digits.Chennai beach was packed last Test, so I did wonder why there was no one at the ground.

At least they've admitted they messed up and given England the review back. Thankfully it won't make any difference to the game but it was a bit of a shocker to say the least. Especially as Root pointed out the mistake straight away and they got it wrong again, checking the LBW instead of what he was asking.Even worse for that catch
