posted in the match thread - but here it is again

That is pretty damning against Bernard for me

Hadn't seen that. Looks pretty compelling. Outrageous from Bernard and deserves a long ban.

Not true
He went to the player and spoke to him so he clearly decided to do something but not what he should have so was second guessing maybe
No he didn’t,he made a gesture towards him. Perhaps he should have gone and seen the damage done to Allen instead.
I know we give reffs undeserved stick sometimes Pete. But his handling of that incident was a disgrace, and he needs some serious questions asking of him.

The ref did go and speak to him - but chose not to do anything else!

Although am i right in saying that if he gave a yellow it would mean he couldn't retrospectively be banned or "given a red" because the ref had been judged to see it?!

Maybe the fact he did nothing will mean retrospective action will/can be taken

Gary mabbutt was out for 3 months when John fashanu did the same to him
That would mean season ending

Aren’t the refs under directives to let the game flow or something? Basically let these ‘little’ fouls go unpunished?

As an aside, do not get me started on throw ins!
What about throw ins, they are nearly all foul throws from the wrong position these days.

Lati had his arm and shirt pulled during a first half corner, so much so he couldn't make his run and right in front of the ref, these things just seem to go unpunished

It's a free for all at corners these days - anything seems to go. Half a dozen wrestling matches taking place at the same time.

The handball rule is ridiculous (I think - I’m not too sure what it is anymore) and will no doubt be changed again soon.

I guess part of the game, at least in my lifetime, has always been about fans having a moan about decisions, and discussions about how the ref has interpreted something.

I think VAR was supposed to end this but it seems to have created more. For me it should only be used for offsides, as this seems to be something which can’t be contested…you’ve got a toe offside? Tough shit it’s still offside.
VAR was supposed to be ‘clear and obvious errors’ if they have to draw a line to see a toe offside is clear and obvious? Then how many do they still get wrong? It should have been left with the egg chasers.

I’ve said so too. His handling was shocking unless he doesn’t see it for what it is.

He doesn’t check on Allen - that’s the first responsibility here the safety of players.
He doesn’t just gesture to Bernard he goes and has a reasonably long conversation with him

If he checks on Allen and gets treatment and they think depressed fracture then you’d hope he’d check with the assistant

Like you say this incident was very badly handled

Hate var yes, but offside is to stop goal hanging, if its half a toe offside on some computer screen then it's ridiculous. Goal line technology only for me

Wasn’t there a time when the offside rule was when there was clear space between the attacker and the last defender?

Wow, I remember seeing Allen hold his face but didn't see what had happened.

Yeah we need to be going in for retrospective action on that, the ball had clearly gone.

The fucking prick.

Seen the video and yet again their fans making excuses and some even saying our player should have got out the way , also some annoyed Robins called it deliberate ( it fucking is ) starting to really dislike wednesday fans , used to think they were sound

Looking on their board, they don’t think anything happened and Robins is a ‘moaning c*nt’. Classless fucking scammers!
Never had an issue with them before, but after all this, fuck em and let them go down and into admin
Most of them had cleared off home by then, so how do they know?😂

They don’t like it when they are called out do they?
I quite like SWFC as a club, met some fans on holidays and always been able to talk footy with them. Starting to go off them a bit now.
Robins will moan about stuff but only when there is something to moan at.
