From today I am going to be more positive about the current situation. We are not going to make the automatic spot, that is a fact that even the most optimistic people can not deny. We can make the play off's and if we turn things around we will have momentum going into them, and more often than not, it is the team with momentum that goes through.
We lost on Tuesday to a team with momentum, but there was an improvement in the team. It is important that we get behind the team for the run in, drag your mates up, don;t give up on them, lets give them every chance to push on

I will undoubtedly get shot down for this, but, on reflection, I will not be too unhappy if we are not promoted this season.

I look at the difficulties that Bristol City are experiencing this season having stormed League 1 last year, and I would be concerned as to what fate would await us if we were promoted with most of this season's team no longer available. Whichever league we are in next season, we will need to rebuild and replace this year's loanees so it may be beneficial to build on and learn from this season's experience and use it to better advantage next season. A positive run using this season's remaining fixtures will give us heart for next season.

But the fact is it is easier to manage to stay in a league than it is to get promoted. as we all should know.

If we don't make the playoffs this season, lets hope next season we do a Wigan or Barnsley and fly up the league with a couple of months to go

Next season will be a completely unknown quantity as we will have to start team from scratch. This season will act as no measure.
