Well he does come from Texas!
I wonder if he will ignore the brilliant SBT that was once talking of 10k members only pledging 1k each, yet right now the average pledge (through their alleged 1200 members is 17K.
This works out to just under £12 each! (cannot even raise the price of a ticket each)!
Perhaps they will finally realise they will not be taken seriously and revert to just being a supporters' club (which is what the 1200 have joined already think it is) rather than a credible alternative - which I have said from DAY ONE it just isn't!
The savage way they tried to suppress any popping of their absolutely unrealistic plans was sisuesque in its viciousness. Seems when I said they could never get anywhere near the level of funding they would need was ultimately sage.
I just wish the local media would stop using these clowns as the go-to option for a fans' perspective, AS IT IS ONLY EVER THE VIEWS OF ONE PERSON.

The club is looking down a shotgun barrel. It would be great if the trust could find a true fan with squillions, or someone who loves his sport and would pump money in for a bit of ego boosting glory while working with the trust. But its not going to happen, its all money and returns these days. If Tex is the only offer on the table and it gives us a few years hope, rather than no hope under sisu, then we have to take it and prey for the best.

As I understand it, SISU want the assets to sell on at a profit, they are not interested in building anything.
That is their normal game, they do not develop things, they buy a company in debt, strip it to the bone, drive incredibly hard deals with debtors & sell it on as a going concern at a profit. They are not and never were likely to be here long term, 8 to 10 years is the sort of time they normally own a company. Why do you think they have a close association with insolvency practitioners...insolvency is a regular part of their operations.

They claim he has a personal fortune of £157m but how much of that is tied up in property? Its quite possible that any deal ACL wise will be like the Man Und deal where a loan is taken out. I don't mind that particulalry as long as he is able to commit to funding the playing side of the club for the next 5 -7 years.

SISU had millions when they and Kenny Sansom galloped to the alleged rescue a few years ago,£50 million (they're figure) has been reportedly sunk into the club and look where we are.
Portsmouth,an example of foreign owners promising riches and then when all is not as first thought they end up in a worse state than we are,which really is saying something.
How about running the club as a trust?Or at least if it is to be a company then try balancing the books to avoid a repeat of the last 10 years.

FFP rules mean nobody can just walk in & spend, spend spend...that's part of the problem. SISU's argument for rent reductions, & buy-in to the stadium is to increase revenues so they have more to invest on the playing side. The greater the revenue the greater the sum you can invest in te playing side. Whether or how much of it would go into the playing side is another issue mind you.

Well, we're blue! To be fair, there's potential with this club to be big, just nobody's been able tap into that potential.
I dont like the idea that the same man who brought SISU in to take over the City is bringing someone else in. Also look at the experience that Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal with americans not looking very good this crisis management

What happens if, for example, he decided to purchase a car parking space from CCFC for £1m a game or sponsor the team for £100m? I'm sure there will be a loophole somewhere and as soon as it's found the whole thing becomes pointless.

I guess anything is possible. Why would anyone want to just give £1m/month though? It might fall outside of the FFP rules (if they've got the brains to think through this kind of thing...which is debatable itself)
Whoever comes in, if anybody will have to play by FFP rules anyway so millions will not be required. The real need is for the club to finally lose the historically gained debt and have the ability to start operating in a solvent manner to prevent this instability ever blighting the club and its ambitions again. For the last few years as a City fan we have lived with the shadow of debt hanging over us, it would be nice for us to run ethically and within our means and with a future secured. The scrub land around including train stop does need development and if that is what clinches the deal then so be it, I don't care who makes the money although I do believe the club should be compensated for the expensive decontamination programme it paid for on the site !

The club did not pay to decontaminate the site, I do believe at the time they paid for the site inspection and the drilling of test holes to find out the depth of contamination.
