That was talking about the link you posted, I also confirmed it in the next post so that you were 100% sure but you still went on (even quoting it and making it bold, but failing to actually read it)

Are you being serious? No goalposts are being moved. You tried to have a clever dig, you had no clue what you were talking about and you were wrong.

Yes, that was a one off at a game where they gave out free pop and crisps to the kids.

There are also the arranged parties, the same as the pop and crisp ones around Christmas time. They get presents from Santa.

I found a picture before that mirrored that one but was recent.

And?... I was replying to Reg the Donk who seemed to think it never went on in the 60's and 70's.
Just to be clear kid, not saying it didn't happen, just don't recall ever coming to my school...funny enough, if I was 10 years older I could have popped across the road a probably found a few of them in the Sky Blue Tavern :D

I'm not suggesting for a minute that you say it didn't happen mate ;) Just pointing out that perhaps you were very unlucky that you didn't see it.

What point are you trying to prove? What isn't factual about that post?

I replied about the link you posted in the one before it, which was a one off at a game where they gave out free pop and crisps to the kids. I even then confirmed what I was talking about just to be 100% as I realised you knew fuck all about what you were on about so probably wouldn't be able to keep up.

Is it that painful that there are actually good things going on? Yet again, the shouty shouty yet haven't got a clue strikes again.

Actually, I do. That's where the seeds of support are sown. You've obviously not been to a JSB party and seen the faces of the kids. Micky Gynn for you but Ben Stevenson, etc for them. I go every year with my lad and this year won't be any different. The volunteers who run these events - including our own SW88 - give up their own time and should be commended not slagged off.
Didn't stag it off and fair play to those that volunteer to stage these things, however, I stand by my original point.

When these kids are grown up and are asked why they support the sky blues, I doubt many of them will say it was because they attended a fantastic Christmas party thrown by the club when they were young.

The kids are the future of the club. Without people like Pat and her team as well as players getting involved in community initiatives, Xmas parties, visits to kids wards etc there will be no fans of the future. It was different in the 60s and 70s...less competition from electronic devices and a 'too powerful' premier league. CCFC and JH led the way in realising the importance of fans and kids initiatives and many clubs followed. The best memorial to JH will be if the club and its fans, including the next generation, still have a team and supporters in another 50+ years.

Who has said they will?

Hence he used the term "seeds of support are sewn".

Still, it gives you chance to still try and make out it isn't any good and give a stupid example to try and back up your point.

I have seen 3 or 4 kids become city fans from going to things like that.

RE-READ your original reply to my "Pop and Crisps" post... Your reply is on #106... Then tell me I know FUCK ALL!...... Come on Nick boy, KEEP UP!

Hill would have always said under adversity support the team. I suspect his real ire would have been made at those who try and divide fans with the NOPM tripe.
Most of these NOPM have probably still seen CCFC this season the same amount as you super home fans.... 10 home games so far in the league, same as away games, I've missed 1 away game. Pipe, smoke.

I have, I have also replied multiple times. I also confirmed it for you and you quoted it and put it in bold but still failed to understand what was going on.

If you don't understand whats going on it is your problem, not mine.

Every time I look on here now there is a perfect dividing line between two main groups of posters. There are a few people who remain in the middle ground but generally there is one side opposing the other. It's shite isn't it, wouldn't it be lovely one day to be actually excited by the players performances, results, signings, big matches, ticket sales. No wonder people are looking elsewhere for stuff to do on a Saturday !

Oooh you are a colossal twat!

Didn't stag it off, said fair enough when you posted pics of players engaging with young fans and commended those who volunteer to stage such events.

Maintain that this in all probability isn't the biggest contributer in sustaining a fan base, but you can't help but be your usual pedantic knob self.

Still, you can try the play on words to hide from the fact you try to have digs about things you know nothing about and they backfire on you.

It's a handful of people, not an entire fanbase, people seem to forget this forum is consisted of about 20 regulars and lots of lurkers. The divide is created by a certain few people.

But they are becoming swallowed up with the constant battle as one side or the other usually takes it back to poking at the other. There shouldn't be sides, the fan base should be united if it's going to help the club survive.

I think you giving it the "what kid is going to say they support ccfc because of a party" line kind of sums up your attitude towards it. Nobody at all said that 1 party what will make kids support the club, they set it plants seeds to help them.

If I talk to people in Cov, in the pubs and restaurants at parties and weddings etc there is one common enemy ! Only on here are there about a dozen hard core defenders of the clubs owners.

It's completely different now though, Sky Sports, FIFA, everybody getting excited about Ronaldo and Messi. It makes the job even harder to do :(

So we need some new ideas and innovation... just like the Jimmy Hill days.

The reason things go on is because people say stupid stuff like that. Who is defending the clubs owners and where?

While people like you just keep spouting absolute shit it will get corrected for you, the same as it has been corrected on here about the players going into schools and the party stuff.

If you don't like it, stick to just saying SISU out over and over and getting a back pat for it if you don't like your views being questioned. Rather than just claiming people love SISU because they dont agree with your views.

Does this mean we have to add sky sports, FIFA, Ronaldo and Messi to the long list of people who are to blame for SISU not being able to run a football club and the spiralling decline of CCFC?

The problem is that when the side is struggling, the football poor and the results negative fans fall back on blaming either the owners, the manager, the players or each other (or a combination of all four...oh and add the council). We have poor owners, an untested manager and distinctly average players. Therefore there is bickering, snide remarks and hostility.
Last season for the first half at least we were all engaged with football as it was exciting, fun and results were great. The recipe for us all pulling together is success. Unfortunately be prepared for a lot mor infighting and negativity.

Makes sense to me, apart from autocorrect changing "said" to "set".

People need to realise that it doesn't discredit SISU when people go off on one about this type of shit.

Do you know Nick, this site would be OK without your contribution because all you do is try and smash up any views that you don't agree with. Your latest tripe over the last couple of weeks just involves you telling everyone 'They don't know what they are talking about', 'They know nothing' ! You are out of order and ruining the site with your bombastic bollocks !

So what usually happens is that when people disagree they discuss it and say why they think things, what makes them come to that conclusion etc.

If for example I ask a question about a protest and I get a reply just saying "well you must like SISU" then it isn't very constructive is it? Maybe if people actually had a debate about things rather than giving it the "you must love sisu because you dont agree" type shit then debates would go a bit further.

When people clearly don't know what they are talking about when having digs then surely it's ok to point it out and correct them? I'd more than expect it if it was reversed and would happily apologise when I was wrong.
