FFS Andy listen to yourself/ get angry for God sake!

From what you are saying with 'don't know why they did that" then why did you not scream and shout instruction from the line and above all change it when you saw that?

Pleeeease give me strength. "the players know that bla bla bla"

How about a rocket up their arse!

All he ever says is that he doesn't know. It is his fucking job to know.

He should be asking them what is happening, working on it in training, hammering them with it.

Bit concerned with him keep talking about us being 'comfortable' today. Maybe the way I am reading it, but that sort of sounded a bit like keeping it tight and trying not to lose rather than going for the win.

Sometimes it makes me wonder if he actually sees the same things as the rest of us? Does he realise the results we are getting? Does he think stats get us points?

Sounded very down and his final comment on bringing a striker in just about summed up our situstion despite many promises our owners, sisu, Tim Fisher or whoever have no intention of bringing in anyone. Thorn needs now to stand up and be counted and even test the owners and see what they do about that

Really think we need to let him go now. Even after today we still have a chance of staying up if we can put a couple of wins together. Problem is Thorn over the course of the season has shown he cant get the team to do this. I like the bloke but its the future of our club at stake - time to gamble!

He should be watching the videos of the game with the players, pointing out what is going wrong and mistakes that we make week in week out. Him just saying he doesnt know makes him look like he is clueless.

If somebody asked me something about my job and I said "I didnt know" they would look at me gone out.

Well that's the reason as much as anything why I would replace him. League One would be a disaster. We need to do anything and everything to try and survive.

I've kinda sat on the fence a bit where AT is concerned, but now more than ever I will definately be joining the "Go NOW! Thorn!" brigade. The man is totally clueless!

Well at least Pompey, Donny and Brizzle lost!

Bristol know they have to play us at their place don't they, so they have probably already chalked that one off the list of games they need to win.

Truth is the task to stay up was always far bigger than many assumed. Stats cannot be ignored and we will need 46 points. It's practically over. Even by his own turgid standards thorn sounded a defeated man. Odd comment to say we were comfortable before the goal. He's staying. Some say we are lucky to have him here. Let's see how lucky we all feel one Sunday in may at Southampton. Positively blessed I should think.

True. I have been offered some corporate tickets. I may be too depressed to go.

Thing is he has sounded beaten ALL season, he's not inspirational at all, his last comment was to get him sympathy because he knows he can avoid relegation imo.

Replace him with ken fuking duliu f we must just.just try something, its obvious we stand more of a chance with a different manager

Bit puzzled by this ....

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he has seen signs of encouragement despite the club’s lowly position in the Championship table.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said after the 2-0 defeat: "It is very close down there and we will be tested to our very limits but this is why we're in the game and we need to rise to the occasion.

"The players, and myself, need to hold their nerve as well as everybody else at the bottom.

"Our home form has been good and we are desperate to get an away win as we have to get as many points as possible. We will approach every game trying to win it.

"I have seen signs of encouragement despite the situation, every day at the training ground for example. When you beat Leeds and Middlesborough at home, that shows we are good enough.

"It is frustrating to pick up results like that, then come here and get nothing. We are disappointed as we really should have made this game count for us."

How can anyone say that beating Leeds and Middlesborough shows we are good enough? Couldn't you just as well say "losing 9 away on the trot shows we are not good enough?"

I would say just 6 wins in 32 games very much shows we are not good enough. You can't just cherry pick a couple of occasions when we have won and hold those games up as some kind of proof of ability. Bottom 3 since October, pretty much 7 points adrift at the bottom since Christmas, no away wins all season, 9 away defeats on the trot and only 6 wins, points very, very much too us not being good enough.'

If we had, had a little run at some point then I think we could point to that and say that we were good enough then and we need to recapture that. However, our one 'run' this season was unbeaten in just 3 ( 2 draws, 1 win) way back in August.

Had we had 5 or 6 games unbeaten at some point then I think that could show that there is something there, but if you win 2 and lose 4 out of the previous 6 and only win 6 all season then that clearly points to us simply not being good enough.

Maybe it's just an ill choice of words? He's not the best orator in the world is he. Just seems a curious thing to say.

Well maybe, but that doesn't just show that we are good enough does it, MMM? That just says we are doing slightly better..

And you have to remember both Leeds and Middlesborough were very poor against us. Neither team played at all well on the day.

He hasn't got a clue has he?? He is to self centred to me and I get the feeling it's all about him and not the club! Cuz if he had any affection towards the club he would have steped down months ago!! The "I can do this " attitude he has is one of the main reasons were going down along with the
Miss management off the field!!

This is fast becoming ridiculous. Find some measure of reason for God's sake.

If we lose it's because of Thorn's ineptitude
If we win it's because other teams play worse than us despite Thorn's ineptitude
If our league position improves, it's because off other teams' failings, and no thanks to Thorn's ineptitude

?!?

Let's all ignore that he's operating with both hands tied behind his back shall we.

You lot think one of his predecessors could have done better? They wouldn't have founds gems like Nimely and Norwood.

If we keeps us up he deserves a bloody medal.

He's not there to deliver soundbites - he's not a frigging politician. Get a life crying over his interviews.

You don't bollock a group of fragile teenagers - they can't cope with the pressure as it is!

Can't see any problem at all analysing what the manager is saying, Rich.

I did it for Coleman and Boothroyd and Dowie and Adams and Reid and Black and McAllister and Nillson and Strachan and Atkinson and Butcher and Gould and Neill and Howe and McKay and Sillett and Milne and .....

You getting the picture?

You are a disgrace. You are either unwilling, or incapable of seeing the bigger picture. Do you know, you'll get the sort if football your small mind deserves. The mantra of sacking successive managers, irrespective of circumstances until you find one to your liking. There's a bit of me that hopes you get what you crave. And we drop like Bradford with you blinking with a lack of true understanding, yet craving the head of yet another manager who doesn't match your deluded standard
