read the hollow all about me words of the woman who sold our clubs ground to a sporting franchise. If this is not the definition of disingenuous I am not sure what is. People who vote for her political grandstanding and moral high ground games deserve what they get; a shoddy councillor who values her PR in the public eye as priority number 1.

I personally don't think sport and politics mix well but it seems Ann has no trouble using us to try and raise her national do gooder profile, so I hope CCFC fans respond in kind at the ballot box. Even if you don't vote normally get down there as It would be superb to see her face when she realises she has messed with the heritage of thousands of people from a city proud to be sky blue.

Your missing the point!!! It's the way she talks about her love for the club etc I am highlighting not the MK issue.

Do get what you mean, it's like most of the ones who called her a publicity seeking slag when she quite rightly wasn't happy about King, now think she's some sort of hero for selling the Ricoh to Wasps.

Some peoples obsession with outside influences is so ridiculous that they're dragging out year's old statement's about something she was right about in a very poor attempt to discredit her.

And I'm supposed to be the hysterical shouty one.

I'll tell you what's disingenuous. All the people on here who now finally acknowledge and laugh at Fishers seeming inability to tell the truth, or stick to any coherent policy; yet harshly judge the council and its officers for not being able to cut a deal with him. He's building a new stadium, remember?

Her number 1 passion is for the city of coventry and its people

Sorry I think that a bag of crap. Anyone that attends a new conference and simpers that it isnt all about her and implies that the previous days discussions were, in relation to the sale of the Ricoh, has her head significantly up her own arse.

Christ, some of your posts on the two Lucas threads are absolutely nauseating. Reign it in a little before I'm sick!

I agree actually. Doesn't stop people from saying "three weeks" and "batter people in court" despite SISU losing all theirs recently, does it.

I am really surprised, considering SBT is one of the last bastions of truth and morality that people don't want to know the full story behind the loan, value of ACL, sale to Wasps, etc. After all despite anyone who mentions it being told "yeah, but what about SISU" - which again I don't disagree with - if anyone should be whiter than white and open and transparent it's the council and its officers.

I don't think it's a bad thing for the Observer to ask questions, though Reid isn't helping himself with the style.

There is certainly an attitude of ignoring any possible wrongdoing by the Council and I really don't understand why. After all, we all support CCFC don't we, not the Council, or SISU. We just want what's right for our Club and if that means highlighting mistakes or underhand tactics on either side then we should know about them.

Sorry torch!

I just feel strongly about those who volunteer for the greater good.

I will stop now. I would love to know the full story but i trust ann more than Tim or joy and that enables conclusions to be drawn

One of the things that I agree with her wholeheartedly about.

Yep I thought she was right about King, and I was depressed by the club's pursuit of, and employment of, him on the basis that he'd be a good player for us. Over on GMK this created a pretty major squabble - I seem to recall Capt M, me and you being in the minority.

To be fair to her (in this instance) I suspect that *this* is the reason she now described herself to Shane O'Connor the other week as someone who "used to be a fan" the Football Club.

Fair enough, but they get a nice reward to for "the greater good". £34K in Ann's case.

I saw that and was surprised. I need to research what that means practically and will stop referring to it as a non renunerated position

It's easy, why waste money.
Sisu thought nobody else could use the stadium and moved CCFC to Northampton and waited for ACL to fold and take over the freehold at the expense of CCC ratepayers.
Sisu upped the stakes by saying they are building a new stadium and CCC matched the stakes by saying that ACL was doing okay.
The lack of tenant lowered the value of ACL from £12M down to £6M as noted in the JR.
Wasps offered that figure and due to Sisu history with CCC and the talk of a new stadium the same deal was not offered to them.
The alternative of not excepting the Wasps offer and waiting for Sisu to complete the JR and forget the new stadium was a huge risk that CCC would be fools to take.

A small amount of fans are hoping that Sisu win the JR or perhaps some local Council review in the hope that the loan is withdrawn, Wasps have to refinance and then fall over.

Unsure why many on here are up in arms about her winning an award, after all I was the first on here during our ridiculous move to Northampton that the council would end up playing a major part in the Ricoh row and fuck us over, and no one gave a fuck then, so why is everyone up in arms now.

As a matter of interest what should the council have done ?

What did she say at the press conference with Wasps ' Yesterday was my day' in referring to the sale ?! She may have convinced herself it was the right thing to do but my word did she enjoy taking the 'credit' !

They put themselves forward for election in the knowledge that if successful they will be paid 'allowances', which is a bit different to 'volunteering' isn't it?
