You mentioned in your reply about an agreed formula for buying a stake in the stadium.
Could you explain this formula and what the actual cost of purchase would be.

Thankyou

As interesting as that would be to know, that doesn't sound like something he would want to publically disclose.

There is indeed no harm in asking. The purchase price paid by the Charity is well known: £6.5m. The formula within the Option Agreement is commercial in confidence, both parties, the AEHC and CCFC are bound by the Agreement not to disclose the detail. I don't think it would be out of order if I said that 75% of the price would be based on the original purchase price plus interest and the remaining 25% on the value of ACL. Further than that I cannot go.

Another shrewd move by Coventry City Council

So not too far from the guesstimated £10m ...

so 75% x 6.5m + 2% compound interest for8 years = 5.7m
25% of value of acl (value 10m max) = 2.5m

so unless they are fleecing ccfc - which as a charity higgs should not be doing, the purchase price should be no more than 8.2m

So if CCFC would have bought this 8 years ago - they would have already paid for it, with the amount of rent that has changed hands

would they though? If it was a 50/50 split between CCFC and ACL then would everything be split down the middle?

That's wat I thought, profits and costs shared. I guess if it was sisu owning the stadium they could still rent it to ccfc instead of letting us play there for free. Having thier cake and eating it too!
