I will just shut up, Astute,
There is nothing wrong with optimism and of course I don't think we will lose 5-0 but sadly I prefer my dawns to be real rather than receiving yet another wake up call.
One game winners! Hurray...,,

CT site in predictable meltdown -

This proves we are funding court cases with George Thomas funds by signing another free journeyman had been that no one else wants.

it happens. It's 5 minutes walk from my house but I've nipped in there for a quick pint before and not been seen for 2 days.

I don't disagree with you. But we are stronger in every area and in among the small clubs where about half of them just hope to keep a hold of their league status every year. Most clubs would like several of our players. But how many players would we like from other clubs?

The first game gave me confidence in our team and Robins. And our latest signing has made us stronger. I will remain confident until something gives me reason not to be.

I like Benjamin Buck who comments on there if anybody disses an article with lame attempts at sarcasm to defend it, he reminds me of somebody dear.

If we get that winning mentality and habit I think we will be hard to stop

I'm sure half the posters on the CT don't even go to games.

And the other half are the likes of Grendull trolling with false accounts so they can troll on other online forums that people are saying stupid things on the CT site so the have an excuse to batter our fan base ;)

Was impressed with him yesterday, very good on the ball always looking for it also. Can see him starting ahead of beavon next week.

From the bits I have heard we are lucky to get him and free is a bonus when you think we paid a fee for a star like Turnbull last year. Mark Venus list lucky he has tony Mowbray to give him a job or he would be having to concentrate on his property business

Am I the only one who doesn't get why people call for him to play alongside / behind McNulty since he's a midfielder?

I get that he's an attacking midfielder but the way we want to play we need two strikers. Not a striker and a AM.

Plus Beavon hasn't stopped running and is a work horse which will pay off and almost did yesterday a number of times so wouldn't be going messing with the front two (although can alternate who plays there)

Wouldn't mess with front two either but great options on bench now to be able to bring on andreu and the duck if we need to change a game or kill off a game when the two front men have ran their legs off. Exciting times all be it division 2!!! I recon with this squad we would be top 10 in league one

Robins called Andreu a number 10 so I presume he sees him more as a forward.

The front 2 work really hard, but just don't seem to gel together (yes I know it's early days). I'd certainly try mixing things up for the next game. I also think the squad is missing the big physical target man type of striker. But hey, 2 wins out of 2, who am I to moan?

Personally I can see Andreu scoring more goals than Beavon, so I would play him next game.
I should think he will normally start, yesterdays sub role because he only just arrived yet alone trained much with team mates.

McNulty is currently 'defying the doctor's. He is need of an operation apparently... so the strike force will inevitably change in the coming months.

Beavons last full season in League two (44 games for Burton in 14-15) he scored 6 league goals

He not prolific by any means and his tally is always quoted in a negative way as he's a striker and that's what we measure a striker on.

The stat I think would be more interesting is how many goals did the team score with and without Beavon. Obviously this cannot be measured accurately in that season as he played too many games but my point is his work may of been pivotal to the sides goals and success. So although he got 6 in the league, what he create/work did for others. His pressing and donkey work is valuable to the team providing the 3 behind and rest of the team are all scoring.

It's a team game after all.
