I'm heavily involved.... ran for Warwickshire in the inter-counties the last two years.
Going to Pyrenees in a couple of weeks to run in the World Masters Mountain Running (v40, uphill race)
And do a lot of domestic level races..... won the short race at the Welsh 1000's in June, which is my highest claim to fame (although running in the inter-counties was an insanely higher level!
Local hills in Scotland, though nothing like the level you're at. Used to tag along at Saturday cross-country sessions with the athletics club and did the local hill races. Hugely enjoyable and still miss it, though had I not got injured I wouldn't have got back in to football, which I love playing. Every cloud...
I still play cricket at 53. I am definitely feeling it more on a Sunday after batting and bowling on the Saturday. I was the oldest in the team for a few years but we now have a 65 year old who plays now and again to help out.
Just had our first game of the season. Played the full 90 and scored a header from a corner. We were 3-1 down but despite bringing it back to 3-3, conceded with four minutes to go, before grabbing another equaliser 30 seconds from the end to finish the match 4-4.
The feeling is unmatched. Absolutely bouncing off the walls.
