Is it still the case that those not moving seats use the cards from last season?

Yeah, that hasn't changed. I moved so expecting a new card.

I don't think it's aimlessly ranting on this occasion. We need to make the ticket buying operation smoother. Even down to browser compatibility it has issues that people have genuine struggles with. May be there should be clearer guidelines on the website on what tech to use on the website if they can't add in the cross browser compatibility any time soon. Last season I prebooked tickets for games and ended up queuing for over half an hour for them to print the tickets when I went to collect and missed kick offs. It's letting us down.
I can see that, cheers Nick; I'm not blaming the Club but that is some bollocks of an explanation taking 50 seconds rather than 5 seconds, we ain't no Man Utd when it comes to season ticket sales!
Ironically, I never had an issue with the old system (I know many did). Ticketmaster has generally been a disaster for me, but i appreciate why they moved. Hopefully the paper tickets arrive in time and everyone will be able to get in easily and in time for kick-off
I liked the old system, preferred it actually as you had seating plans for away games. The only real issue was it would crash if there was anything approaching high demand, but surely that was just system resources. Not sure what we gain by paying ticket master 300K a year.
Supposedly infrastructure, expertise etc.
Sure, that was clearly the motivation, and many people praised the move at the time. Actually though, I don't think either the ticketing or club shop have improved since they were outsourced.
Sliding out of league one last seasonWhen was the last time something went smoothly at our club?
Typical of the current regime to blame someone else, never there fault is it?
Disgraceful for the people affected who more than likely coughed up their money in the early bird period.
I suspect those affected are those that moved seats from block 18 to escape the ridiculous premium charge or new season ticket holders
Same for me last season. Missed the first few games as I was on holiday and would have passed my tickets on to a friend. (Had they liked what they had seen might have convinced them to go again). As they didn't arrive I wasn't able to.There have been over 90,000 minutes available to print for 50 seconds, reboot the machine after is crashes with an error message "are you sure, they chose a Coventry season ticket, are they mad" and then start the next one, this is only for new season tickets and those that changed seats, can that actually be more than the 400.
I have 4 not delivered, sadly, we fly out Saturday morning on holiday so miss the 3 games anyway, the only saving grace is for my friends who now cannot have them to use so I guess I'm helping not persecute and punish others.

How much would a decent server cost to buy and maintain? Got to cheaper than £300k per year over 3 years or whatever the contract is with Ticket Master.
It wouldn't just be the server, you could get a server setup that could handle a fair bit of traffic for £1k a month. The hardest bit would be the software, linking it with the Ricoh and the shops, printing the cards / tickets etc. Then you need somebody to manage the server, somebody to develop the software, somebody to print the tickets, somebody to post the tickets etc.
It all adds up, although it would probably be cheaper than £300k a year if that's what we are paying them. That seems a lot, especially when they get processing fees from tickets too.
I don't know if it is 300k a year, I just read that on here. I appreciate all those costs but there is also the value of having that experience on your books. Then again, would CCFC get anybody to come and do all that work them on the shite wages they pay?

Following further work by Ticketmaster in the last 24 hours, 200 of the 400 supporters affected by the previous issue printing Season Ticket Cards have now received their Card in the post today.
The remaining 200 Season Ticket Cards will be printed and ready for collection on Saturday morning from 11am at the Matchday Ticket Office at the Ricoh Arena. These supporters will be contacted directly.
If fans have already printed a paper ticket for the game via the Butts Park Ticket Office, please use this for entry on Saturday.
The Season Ticket cards have automatically been uploaded with a ticket for the Blackburn match for Early Bird Season Ticket holders.
Don't the club have new Commercial director ? Done well in his first gig hasn't he ! But I suppose you get the service you pay for.
So I don't think 2 of mine moved but 1 definitely did so if I've not got a new card what do I do?
