The continuing apathy is'nt going to solve anything but it must have a totally negative effect on other supporters and possibly the staff at the Club.

Our situation is a temporary one and we will be back in Coventry eventually.
I fail to see why supporting the the team at Northampton if you can afford it and are able to travel is such a bad thing, especially when so many are contributing to other clubs incomes by only attending away games.

Sure it's a pain and inconvenient but we have to move on and own our own stadium ( gross income FIFA - FPR ), as the rental model as proved will never ever work in modern football times.

Why cut-off your nose to spit your face, all the protesting is just a waste of time and energy and won't change anything.

RFC I like your spirit but it is wholehearted wrong to support the boys in Northampton.

I don't care if we played in Newcastle if a date was set to coming back but it's not and the way is fans have been treated is shameful.

I have the money and travel isn't a problem other than an inconvenience but I refuse to go on a moral ground that we are Coventry city and need and should be playing at our stadium Ricoh arena.

I fully understand FFP but it's no excuse to move our team to Northampton when we are waning a lot less so it makes the argument invalid.

RFC, don't wish to keep going on about this, but nothing is certain. We believe the situation be temporary, it should be temporay, but we also know how weak the FL are.

Please tell me what happens in this scenario.

That we all go to Sixfields, but that no agreement can be found to return to the Ricoh. So basically we do okay at Sixifelds, make a bit of money, the FL stay weak.

Just can't see that our owners would then spend multi millions on building a new stadium. I just see why they would do that.

If they have a good thing going at Sixfields and the authorities stay weak I can just see us staying there for year after year after year.

This has never been about the immediate option, it's why it's ridiculous to talk about it. The only reason we're there is a punt on short term pain, long term gain.

Therefore, the pain is already expected. And then it's like asking whether you want your testicles chopped off with a blunt or a sharp knife.

For me this still all revolves around the Ricoh and the Ricoh only. Honestly don't believe the owners will build a new ground.

Therefore can see us staying at Northampton for a lot longer than any of us envisaged if everyone stays intransigent.

I've said from day one, if we had left HR and were waiting for the Ricoh to be finished, then by all means, pack the place out and thank NTFC for taking us in.

But to take us away as a pawn in SISU's game plan is unforgivable. I don't believe in NOPM, but I don't agree with attending sixfields.

I don't know what the answer is other than waiting for the outcome of the JR and hope we make a swift return home to the Ricoh.

Sorry but first of all it's 'spite' your face not spit. On to your piece.

I, personally, would understand your comments if I was looking at it in a purely selfish way, but I have change over the past 3 or 4 months.
Firstly, my father who is now 80 and been a season ticket holder for the past 50 years. He had a season ticket for last season but due to driving and parking issues he won't be going next season. In fact he has now bought a season ticket for Racing Club Warwick.
Secondly, I find what our owners are doing to the youngsters of our city Kids who even support non-league teams can get excited about the coming season because they will be able to go to games. NOT our kids. The kids of Coventry have every right to be armchair supporters and follow premier clubs. Their city's club do not care about them, because their club's owners only care about revenge and 'one-up-manship'.
How in their right mind can the FA allow this situation to go on? Look at Hereford. At least the Conference showed an act of responsibility to the other clubs in their leagues. The FA MUST pressure SISU into action this season, whether that be expulsion from the league or a commitment to either going back to the Ricoh or building a new stadium.

I am fed up with being selfish over this issue. We should think about future generations of kids who don't have the independence to commute 40 miles to a game. Also, like in my Dad's case we should also think of the fans who are aging and who are unlike us are arsed to go but physically can't.

well I am of the view this coming season that I won't do away games either, just lost all faith and enthusiasm for football in general, well professional football as I do intend to go to more non league local football next season as I did enjoy the games I went to last season.Bloody good home cooked food very well priced and your beer in the stand or perimeter, all good value and then a leisurely walk home via some more pubs.

It is about those that can't make it. For instance my 4 year old lad keeps asking to go. There are many more kids not going. Then there is the elderly. Many of them don't drive anymore. Are they able to easily get to Northampton? What about the disabled? Not everyone can afford to own a car. But to some people they see it as short term pain long term gain. Have they even considered that there is a good chance of it being a long term for SISU and an absolute mess for the rest of us.

Given you mirrored what I said, I'll point out I've always said any publicity campaign should be about those who can't go, rather than a nonsensical crusade against different factions. Indeed, as there's not the capacity for the average gate at the Ricoh, it's a blindingly obvious truism to make that not everybody who wants to go can go, regardless of disability, age, infirmity... but we choose not to make those statements and instead bitch and whine in ever decreasing circles.

Just because I explain SISU's strategy as short term pain for long term gain doesn't a) mean I agree with it. b) I have considered many things. I tend to follow my nose when it comes to trends, past performance, consistencies and commonly used strategies. What that consideration says is long term is amongst the lowest of the probabilities, as there is no incentive for it to be long term, beyond the paranoid ramblings of some. (long and short term of course, being subjective terms)

I'm sure, however, it's coincidental you picked up my wording, and those 'some people' are SISU. A spot of clarification never hurts however.

There could, however, be a fight to the death if not careful. If that happens, there will be no winner.

How can it be invalid? We had to move out of the Ricoh because CCC refused to renegotiate the ludicrous rent (£1:28 million ), so the club said they'd move out and did so.

Please explain why since the club moved out CCC have allowed any man and his dog to rent the Ricoh for next to nothing ?

Including other clubs development squads ( Leics. & WBA ) and even streakers! An all time low, our council really want us there, don't they LOL!

We have to look and build for a better and brighter future that allows our club or it's owners to receive and control ALL revenue streams.

This is how I feel. My enjoyment of professional football has been eroded for all sorts of reasons in recent years.

Pile on top the situation at Coventry and I am about done. SISU aren't fighting for the club they are fighting for their own pockets.

I di go to two games away with suffolkskyblue which I enjoyed very very much, both he and his son were an absolute delight to be with, my apathy is about the club I grew up supporting, a club that was everything to me and dictated what I did most weekends and dictated how I felt the following 2/3 days after a match, I can never see me being so involved emotionally again like I was up to about 3 years ago.

I do not like our owners, I do not like how they do business, not just the footballing side, and I have a real dislike for Mr Fisher, who should never be near a football club let alone mine.

The lies/deceit and BS in the end take there toll on most of those who once loved this club.

I absolute hate to see the state this club is in, we are a complete and utter laughing stock, a once proud club is seen as a complete joke of a club by other clubs fans, even now most supporters of other clubs on the other sites I go on have been calling us Covhampton all season and ridicule what we have become ,dismissing us as no threat at all to doing well this season,again, and that is not nice to see/hear.

My poor late father would be turning in his grave to see the mess we are in .

I would though still jump at buying a season ticket if we ever went back to the Ricoh, all the love hasn't gone , yet

I ain't going to Sixfields.
It's over 53 years since I started to go to Highfield Road to watch Coventry, why because it was my home town club.
Now over the last year I feel disconnected from the Club, perhaps I will get a season ticket to watch Halesowen Town FC or just give up football altogether.
But as Mr. Fisher said to another old time supporter at a forum last year.......... That's my prerogative.
