They've always been on the back foot with the PR and by the time details of the council and ACLs PR campaign were shown in court things were already at a point where it made no difference. Saying that we're at a critical point now and at least they've finally got their act together. Can't really fault any of the answers given by the club. It's a bit late for the club to try half decent pr. I assume it is since boddy came in, could have done with it 10 years ago.
Complete and utter BS from Eastwood. There is no reason whatsoever they cannot enter dissuasions, they are choosing not to which is a very different thing. They should at least have the courage of their convictions and be honest.Nick Eastwood said:I am sure that people – whether fans of rugby, football, both or neither – understand that we cannot enter discussions while legal action over ownership of the Ricoh Arena is underway.
Could be worse, I could costs the team goals .
This is not a normal everyday situation with two regular businesses, and even if it was businesses engaged in legal battles regularly continue to do day to day business with each other, just look at Apple and Samsung.Surely the security and future of any business lies in the hands of their owners and the way they conduct themselves doing it . Another company has not got to put up with just anything you put in the way of them carrying out their business
How on earth can any supporter not agree with that statement, if not the Ricoh where do you want us to play?
"This deal for the club to play at the Ricoh Arena is in the best interests of the Football Club, Wasps, Ricoh Arena and the wider community – and most importantly our supporters."
What actions can the club do?Didnt day I didn’t agree with the statement, I just don’t believe it. Actions speak louder than words.
What actions can the club do?
Again, what do you want to be done? Which bit don't you believe?Prob one for our chairman
The club can't drop the legals, that's the point. They have no control over it.Our chairman is listed on the court order against our landlords who have said they won’t deal with us until the court order is dropped.
Doesn’t need to me to state the obvious,
drop the litigation and negotiate a deal, supporters are the most important thing about the club
You disagree ?
The club can't drop the legals, that's the point. They have no control over it.
That doesn't alter there's no control, even if they all walk out.The clubs chairman has more than an influence. If he doesn’t, why is he still here as clearly can’t be happy with the direction of travel ?
Do you honestly believe that if Fisher phoned Sepalla up tomorrow and told her to stop all the legal action she'd pay the slightest bit of attention to him?The clubs chairman has more than an influence. If he doesn’t, why is he still here as clearly can’t be happy with the direction of travel ?
The more i read those comments the more i think the council are the ones advising Wasps not to talk to the club about a new deal.......
Im guessing as annoying as it is SISU are not fooled by it and do what they are entitled to do regardless of the pain it causes us, the fans.
Regardless on what SISU are doing this should not stop any talk regarding the stadium and pressure should be applied to both wasps and the council!
Didn't Wasps offer shitsu a long term (10 year) deal when the club came back and were turned down by our illustrious leaders?

no. I also don't believe that a chairman who agreed with his club's statement yesterday would stand by and allow this to happen without making a stand
Yes I’m sure Joy is going to sit in her office and say “shit! Tim’s resigned - best drop the legals”no. I also don't believe that a chairman who agreed with his club's statement yesterday would stand by and allow this to happen without making a stand

It's nice to see some original wit on this boardIt’s ok everyone, don’t panic. The new stadium must be just about finished by now.
You do realise that TF is merely a figurehead now and effectively just a bridge between SISU and the club. To put it into context Dave Bobby has zero communication with Joy and, I've heard from reputable sources, has actually never even met her personally. Tim's the only one really she deals with. TF won't stand in the way or pipe up because it's not his job to do so. He's paid a handsome salary to be a yes man and work x amount of days a month by attending perhaps one game a month and pop in now and again at Ryton.
Why would he do anything other than agree with his club's statement? He's there to say everything will be fine and the owners are fully behind the club that's it.

Aren’t we also supposed to believe that Tim doesn’t get paid? Sure he’s repeatedly said that.
The fact that TF has been around for so long, in different positions, suggests to me that he is no ordinary employee or contractor/advisor. I often wonder whether he has a financial stake in the business

You might be thinking of the talks Anderson was having with Wasps. When he came in he said he wanted to start afresh with all options on the table with the preference being staying at the Ricoh long term. Think a rolling 10 year deal was mentioned at some point. Both sides reported that talks were progressing well and then Wasps turned round and said they were stopping all talks.Didn't Wasps offer shitsu a long term (10 year) deal when the club came back and were turned down by our illustrious leaders?
Or a percentage if SISU do sell for the ridiculous fee they are asking. Both equally motivating.
