They've always been on the back foot with the PR and by the time details of the council and ACLs PR campaign were shown in court things were already at a point where it made no difference. What annoys me about these type of articles is that questions are asked but the answers aren't challenged. This for example:

Complete and utter BS from Eastwood. There is no reason whatsoever they cannot enter dissuasions, they are choosing not to which is a very different thing. They should at least have the courage of their convictions and be honest.

The response from the council is frankly disgusting. Trying to claim that when it was stated the Ricoh sale must ensure the security and future of CCFC that it only applied to Wasps honouring the initial short term deal agreed when the club returned from Northampton.

Perfect time now for the Trust to come out with a strong statement against Wasps current stance. The club have laid it out very clearly and in a way surely no fan can disagree with. Opposite that you have Wasps and CCC with statements that don't stand up to the slightest bit of scrutiny.

Add in Big Johns comments the other day and it gives them a perfect platform. We've got less than 6 months left at the Ricoh and rapidly approaching a very critical point, don't think we can afford to sit on the fence worrying about upsetting Wasps any longer.

Time to put everything else to one side for the time being and concentrate on this one issue, if we don't the other issues might not matter any more as we may not have a club.

And before anyone plays the 'do it yourself' card, the last thing we need are more supporters groups. As the trust are keen to mention in every press release they are the biggest fans group, we've seen how effective they can be when they get everyone united behind a single cause.

The more i read those comments the more i think the council are the ones advising Wasps not to talk to the club about a new deal.......
Im guessing as annoying as it is SISU are not fooled by it and do what they are entitled to do regardless of the pain it causes us, the fans.
Regardless on what SISU are doing this should not stop any talk regarding the stadium and pressure should be applied to both wasps and the council!

Surely the security and future of any business lies in the hands of their owners and the way they conduct themselves doing it . Another company has not got to put up with just anything you put in the way of them carrying out their business . I think Wasps have been very tolerant (not a Wasps fan) at Susi's antics I think they will carry out their threat his time I hope not but that's the way I see it, have not read the article but has Mr Fisher got anything to say because up to now nothing from him . I know there are no talks at the moment but what is to stop the club putting in an offer or would Ma Seppala not allow it . As for attacking Wasps you know what they do when attacked.

This is not a normal everyday situation with two regular businesses, and even if it was businesses engaged in legal battles regularly continue to do day to day business with each other, just look at Apple and Samsung.

If the council and Wasps, at the time the sale was being voted through, had said CCFC are getting kicked out at the earliest opportunity do you think the people of Coventry would have been quite so accepting of Wasps arrival?

Our chairman is listed on the court order against our landlords who have said they won’t deal with us until the court order is dropped.

Doesn’t need to me to state the obvious,

drop the litigation and negotiate a deal, supporters are the most important thing about the club

The club can't drop the legals, that's the point. They have no control over it.

I have always placed the blame 95% at SISU’s door for losing the opportunity to get a stake in the stadium for the club. I don’t really get how the City Council were supposed to turn away Wasps’ interest – it would have left SISU as the only game in town, with all the risks of extortion flowing from that. People seem unanimous on here that SISU can’t be trusted, yet a local authority was supposed to place itself at their mercy?

However, I find it totally unacceptable that the Council’s protection of our future only amounted to guaranteeing a 4-year agreement. In fact it beggars belief, even though SISU were saying they were going to build another stadium. Nobody in their right mind had faith in that. The City Council should have included cast-iron provisions that CCFC could play at the Ricoh indefinitely, and it must have been possible to put that into the sale terms. Shame on the Council for not doing that, and for now washing its hands of any responsibility, when they should be leaning on Wasps to honour the spirit of the assurances given to the football club and the city.

I don’t see how it could ever have been written in to any sale of the stadium to Wasps or anybody else that we must be allowed to play there? We could just tear up any rent agreement at any time safe in the knowledge we wouldn’t be thrown out?It was nothing but a CCC/Wasps soundbite to appease any dissenting voices.

Don’t actually answer that last bit, I could do without another fifty pages of that shit....

What stand could be made?

Yes, he could probably resign. That still doesn't change anything though does it? I'd personally have no issue with Boddy taking his place, it still wouldn't stop the legals or change anything.

You don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors - for all we know Fisher has said that, as an employee though he’s got to toe the party line.

SISU are not going to drop the legals. Our best option is the trust using their influence, and knowledge to apply pressure - condemn wasps, condemn the council, try and push the dialogue to agree a deal that is fair.

Once a deal is agreed we can then focus on SISU again,

You do realise that TF is merely a figurehead now and effectively just a bridge between SISU and the club. To put it into context Dave Bobby has zero communication with Joy and, I've heard from reputable sources, has actually never even met her personally. Tim's the only one really she deals with. TF won't stand in the way or pipe up because it's not his job to do so. He's paid a handsome salary to be a yes man and work x amount of days a month by attending perhaps one game a month and pop in now and again at Ryton.

He has and it's absolute rubbish. Why on earth would he stay here if he wasn't getting paid, and I refuse to believe the "because I want to see it through" comment or whatever equal garbage he exclaimed. He only said that due to the financial strain we were under at the time to avoid the PR backlash from fans. Would you have said "yes I get paid a 6-figure salary, sorry we can't afford any players?" Anyone with sense know he's only said that to appease the fans and I'm shocked some have believed him rather than step back and look at it from a logical POV.

I have heard that rumour before. I don’t think there’s any merit to it. Certainly nothing at companies house to back it up so unless he’s done it through SISU and is one of their hidden investors I can’t see it myself.

You might be thinking of the talks Anderson was having with Wasps. When he came in he said he wanted to start afresh with all options on the table with the preference being staying at the Ricoh long term. Think a rolling 10 year deal was mentioned at some point. Both sides reported that talks were progressing well and then Wasps turned round and said they were stopping all talks.

Interestingly a few weeks after leaving Anderson was interviewed by a German paper (he is German) and spoke about how he and his investors had been trying to take over a club. He also mentioned he couldn't discuss Coventry City due to a confidentiality clause but did mention the potential target as an English League One / League Two club. Could Wasps stance have lost us the chance of new owners? We'll probably never know.

The ridiculous figures that have been banded around as to what SISU wants for the club can’t be motivating at all. Given that they’re so ridiculous I can’t imagine Tim would believe it possible or in the slightest bit likely. If another rumour is true he has apparently tried to bring people in to takeover/invest in the club and SISU have rejected it out of hand.
