8 league games into the Robins era. He had got us 10 points

Imagine if we had got rid of him for producing such a poor return? I mean it’s obviously poor isn’t it? If we’re considering 12 points from 8 games as bad.

Have some of you learned nothing? That you can’t judge a manager on a handful of initial games.

A manager needs to be able to bring in his own players. Only then can they be judged

🤣🤣🤣 you can't compare he took over us bottom of league one and all bar relegated, with the worst deck in the league. We have a top 6 deck

Half that team had been challenging for the play offs the previous season so that must mean it was good

No it wasn't, we'd lost a lot of our best players including Fleck, maddison, Cole, Armstrong, Murphy, Vincelot..

This was the team that played most of the play off challenge seasons

Phillips left
Ricketts retired
Martin left
Fleck left
Vincelot left
O'Brien left
Armstrong went back after his loan
Murphy went back after his loan

Only Lameries, Charles-Cook and Stokes stayed out of that 11

Around 20 players remained from the previous season.

Regardless you’ve completely missed the point about giving managers time. I suspect it’s deliberate

CCFC position Robins first 8: 24th
Average opponent position Robins first 8: 10th
Diff: +14

CCFC position Lampard first 8: 14th
Average opponent position Lampards first 8: 18th
Diff: -4

Hope this helps.

Around 20 of a 24 man squad remained? 🤣

It's a rubbish example because we were already relegated in bar name, and we all knew that and we all knew Robins had been brought in to lead a League Two promotion campaign.

And Lampard has done better. So your league position argument is meaningless

Or were you expecting him to get us promoted this year??

I give up man. I hope you were kind to your teachers at school.

I really don’t understand the point you’re making.
You’re saying that Lampard should get better results than Robins because we’re playing weaker teams. Well he HAS got better results.
I can’t comprehend what you’re trying to argue

No I am expecting to see some improvement in the performances and some of that elite tactical astuteness. You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter.

Facts don’t give a shit about your feelings

You’ve spent time coming up with this nonsense from 7 years ago, and I have no idea what point you’re trying to make apart from “Lampard has not done anything yet, but if I contort things enough I can pretend Robins was just as bad in 2017 so I win”

What’s the point in any of this, what’s your objective?

To support our manager and argue that he should be allowed to bring in his own players to improve the team.

What’s your objective?

Who has said that he shouldn’t be allowed to improve the team? And how does pulling stats from 2017 help your cause? You’re all over the place with this.

Nobody wants Lampard gone, everyone wants it to work. And today was rubbish. No stat from 2017 is going to change that.

If you think no one wants Lampard gone then you haven’t looked at this forum in much detail.

Also if you can’t see the relevance of pointing out that Robins had a slow start, and had to build his own team, then you must be some sort of vegetable

We were 13 points adrift of safety with 10 games to go when Robins took over .

Are you suggesting frank has taken on the worst team in the league and thefore it's comparible

Ok well if no one wants him gone then you have nothing to worry about.

You, me, this whole forum are 100% behind Lampard then. Give him the money to improve the team and in the meantime, trust him

I agree there is an Issue with the players. Neither Robins or Lampard can get a consistent tune from them.

However Robins pulled the squad together and therefore has to take far more responsibility than Lampard.

We need to see what Frank does during this transfer window and see if things improve on the pitch then too.

The expectation of the fans? The bloody owner is the one who said it!
And we all bought into it, hook line and sinker.

23000 season tickets is mental for us, you can't say we weren't all on board with Doug's operation Premiership.

I think MR knew it was BS, hence not recruiting a no2 and not stopping DK getting carried away with nonsence backroom appointments.

people keep saying this, “it’s on Robins” but what are we supposed to do about it, write a stern letter to Stoke City? He’s long gone, he doesn’t give a shit- all we can do now is allow Lampard the time and judge him by what he does, which is what most people are doing tbh because let’s be honest, we’ve not seen much to be encouraged by so far.

This but Austin also needs to be held accountable.

Why have you spent the last bloody hour arguing with me and then come out with this?

Because you're getting angry that fans are judging what he's doing

I’m getting angry that some don’t want him to have time or transfer money
