He will still get the time and the transfer money regardless..

But fans are right to judge what they see
He deserves the respect of the fans and their support in him trying to improve things.

Just like Robins was given that time.

There shouldn’t a group of fans that understands this better than us. I find it astonishing that people are judging already after what giving Robins time achieved for us

Doesn't mean that giving lampard time will lead us to any kind of success , otherwise no club would sack any manager

Lucky we didn’t have that attitude with Robins. By his own admission there were quite a few times over the years that impatient chairman would’ve sacked him

Robins inherited perhaps the worst squad we’ve ever had, all but already relegated to League Two, and then promptly got us promoted the next season.

I’m not sure your comparisons are going to pan out too well on this one.

Robins was able to get us promoted the following season because he was allowed to bring in his own team.

Look I have no idea what you’re actually arguing for here, you are just going round in circles coming out with increasingly far-fetched rationalisations for something but I don’t know exactly what, so I’ll leave it there I think.

Robins literally won our first trophy for 30 years in his first 6 games TBF.

I really don’t know what else to say. I’ll make it really, really, really simple for you

Lampard, like Robins in 2017 needs, and deserves time to bring in his own team.

If Robins hadn’t been given time to bring in his own team, we wouldn’t have got promoted in 2018

We, as a group of fans should know better then anyone the value of giving the manager time

8 games for Lampard, like with Robins, is not enough time to judge a manager.

Do you understand now? Or do you need accompanying illustrations?

Lampard won't be allowed to bring in an entire new team especially as the owner and Dean Austin thinks these players are good enough , lampard was made manager because doug thinks all that was missing was an elite tactician .

He did, and he should be credited with it.

But it was 1 cup game. It’s no indication of what would happen after. The cup run was Mowbray and Slade

Some fans on here wanted Mowbray out too and blamed our relegation on him , and Robins proved that over a longer period of time the team as poor as it was wouldn't have gone down , the problem was we appointed Slade

I agree, and I see the point you're making, but I don't think comparing this season to 2017 is an accurate comparison.

I’m comparing a manager’s first 8 games who went on to be successful.

I could’ve done it with Sillett or Hill just the same
