Are People Moving? (1 Viewer)

It wouldn't be so bad if folk could migrate over there, but with a hard fence between 12 & 13 and no shared concourse, it's all in committed or not.

If they stay, hopefully others who missed out on the corner in previous years get the chance to join the atmosphere in blocks 11 and 12. Could be great if a good number move behind the goal.
Me and my mates are moving behind the goal from kiddy fiddlers corner.

give it 2/3 seasons singers "corner" wont exist... the best atmosphere will be in safe standing behind the goal, next to the safe standing away fans.

How long they all take to choose to move is up to them 😂

I just like how everyone says, "everyone that sits by me is staying" as if they've asked the 50 people around them not just their immediate group of mates

I dunno, that narcissistic march to the arch episode this year was all a bit embarrassing

Yep, he has been calling people out too.

Plenty will move.

People remaining in the corner will just create problems, it'll dilute the atmosphere and probably cause issues for the club if they have persistent standing outside the designated area.

Blocks 14-16 (maybe 17) should have had priority if they wanted the corner to move over. Give us a week to organise so groups can sit together.

And if people could just 'migrate' it wouldn't be safe standing would it.

not sure how they get 100s of people to sit down.
James.

Those who sit in Block 15, sit down next to me.
Those who sit in Block 16, sit down next to me.

It's probably a bit petty of me but part of me really hopes that when those people that just want to stand wherever they like at the football get old and need to sit down, I hope they get some massive fat fucker stood in front of them every game.

Definitely it would be annoying having people stood in front but people have stood in 15 & 16 since the dawn of time. It would be naive to move there now and expect everyone to sit. A bit of common sense wouldn't go a miss.

Like people who want to stand and sing moving to the very obvious standing and singing stand?
Yep, it's like cutting off your nose to spite your face, the safe standing area will be the first to sell out, get in there while you can.
Then moan about something else.

not sure how it will dilute the atmosphere. if you have the back rows behind the goal standing and that follows round to the corner should make the atmosphere better.

what you have to bear in mind. the official standing section is a few blocks with the back ends standing. I would say block 14-16 have more seats than the proposed standing section which means many in the corner may miss out anyway

many will stay in the corner because that’s what they are accustomed to and for cup games getting moved won’t help with that decision either

But why? Everyone likes it how it is? Why should people have to move?

The block next to the away fans is all seated
And initially the singing section was at the opposite end of the ground, but it naturally moved to the corner.

It will move over again over the next couple of seasons.

It just feels a bit 'don't like change'

Lyndon has confirmed he's staying put in 15 and that's made the decision for me.
Lyndon is an absolute gem.

But he can be heard all around the stadium (I'm currently in 25).

Not sure why his proximity to you is a deal breaker.

Moving for cup games is annoying but half the time the crowd is significantly lower anyway and you'll get priority to chose a new seat. It's the same at all clubs.

How many home cup games have we had since the return? 4 or 5?

Yeah agree. Im sat right near him and while i like the drum im more than happy to be moving two blocks away.

the atmosphere has always come from the corner. even the first games at the ground back in 05

Am I supposed to care about that?

No, it's just common at most clubs.

We've never had to deal with it because we've never had big league crowds.

I'd move as close to the corner as possible for a cup game. It's unlikely that the entire corner will sell out next season

I agree but thats a very simplistic view. Change takes time, I would imagine in 2/3 seasons those in the corner would have migrated over. That will depend on availability though as it seems people are moving there from other parts of the ground because it's behind the goal.

There will be aggro when 15/16 is full and if we get a decent FA cup home tie (however unlikely :ROFLMAO:) and those in the south stand either overcrowd the corner or have to sit down in other parts of the ground.
