Are there 3 teams worse than you? (1 Viewer)

That's a serious question. At the start of the season you were one of the favorites for the drop. What do you think?

Probably not, but I don't like the "you" are you not a City fan? We're normally a welcoming bunch, but I'm not sure now is a good time if you're here to gloat or take the p*ss

Are there 3 teams worse than us?

I'd imagine maybe Tamworth, Luton and Macclesfield. After that I'm struggling.

Doncaster Brighton Peterborough palace (I know they beat us still think they're worse) Barnsley

Now if you ain't a city fan, fuck right off

If you notice mate i did mention "serious question" That's not gloating or rubbing your nose in it. I just wanted some honest views.

Possibly still Bristol, Donny, Watford and Barnsley have all had poor starts. Also I still think Peterborough will be close to the drop. So could be any 3 out of the teams I have mentioned + us.

It is hard to say without seeing them all play this season with their current squads! If you go by results then Doncaster and Brizzle City are not much better than us.

Miles off the mark with Brighton Dan and I think those others are based on size of club rather than facts. Sorry mate, your opinion of course so entitled to it, but we're no longer a big club and our budget and squad are the smallest in the league

Not so sure on Doncaster, I think they'd match us pretty well. Great shout on the others though. Will all come down to who has the worst run of luck out of us and those.

Brighton spent £3m on Mackail-Smith, have a good manager, a group of players who are used to winning, high in confidence, a good chairman, a new stadium and a positive vibe. More likely to hit play-offs than relegation imo

Bristol and Doncaster aren't looking much good. And I never want to have to say that Barnsley are a better/bigger club than us.

Clearly they are bigger than us I just meant I feel like we will beat brighton and will help us stay up

Realistically there's Watford and Bristol City. I do believe Brighton will struggle. A couple of unlucky or crushing defeats and they'll question themselves and struggle. Peterborough are the same. Barnsley also might have a poor season.

Brighton are my tip for play offs. Don't see them down. Doncaster are as useless as we are as long as Sharp stays injured, he will get them goals. Bristol have started poorly but usually do and they have a strong squad. I think the day we say were worse than Barnsley is the day we will expect to go down. Still think Derby will do there annual drop. Peterborough will struggle. And I don't think hull will do well. Not sure about relegation but they will be bottom half

I would think we would struggle to get 25 points this season - so on that basis, we are by far the worst

If we could get clarke, deegan, turner fit very quickly

and invest in a creative midfielder and a goalscorer before we lose many more, - that may change my view
but with what weve got, 25 points will be an achievement

Just for the record, its 3 games into the fucking season. Jesus there are already dopey fuckers on here turning on a manager who could do no wrong last season.
Thorn is stuggling because the players that suit his style left... We welcomed his style last season because it was enjoyable to watch and got goals. Has that changed? No! What has changed is who is able to fulfil the roles within the team.

As for Steve, you've posted a relegation question on a forum where most fans are still smarting about last night. As far as I'm concerned that is WUMing and you can piss off back to your own forums. :jerkit:

And for the record, I'm not turning on Thorn. It doesn't matter who the manager is, you can only work with what you've got.

Exactly, which is why, even 3 games in, quite a few of us can see the writing on the wall.

What exactly do we have? A controlling company who don't give a shit about football matters and a squad that can best be described as below average (I never thought that as a city fan of over 40 years, I would ever write this statement).

If anyone can write anything positive about our current predicament, feel free to do so.

'Us' with 9 fit experienced players including 2 keepers? Probably not one. With something resembling a full team, anything is possible in this league.

Is a season based on 3 games or 46?

0 points from 9 doesn't look good, but look beneath the points tally and there is hope!
