Perhaps he should have worded it differently. If he came out and said that "These things happen with a young squad, it's a learning curve..." he may have received a bit more sympathy.

by that interpretation he was effectively saying this was a positive. His job should have been to keep us in this division as a minimum but the club had other priorities. Wrong then to be sacked.

But his sacking will make no difference to our fortunes.
